I was hoping for a 9/10 ride, but it was more an 8/10 for me.

Look guys, for what it is worth, Copperhead is a great addition to the line up the park already has. Personally, I stop rating and ranking coasters a long time ago because it kinda takes the fun out of what they are meant for in the first place - to provide fun and enjoyment, an escape from the hustle and bustle of reality.

No, it's not a bad thing. I think I just have a tendency to set my expectations higher than I should. I've wanted a Mack launch at the park for years, and now we have it, so I think I was wanting more out of it with all the anticipation.

With that said, I think the more rides I get on this, the more I'll enjoy it. At least I hope so.

As for the dark photos. I asked the supervisor at Kaman's, the sub-contractor that manages all the on-ride photos and the front gate photos, about the dark pictures on Copperhead Strike. She said it's a known issue as the flash on the camera is not syncing properly (and sometimes not firing at all) and that they intend to fix it in the coming days/weeks.

I think the fast lane problem will taper off as the season goes on and people aren't trying to get as many rides on CS as possible because it's the new shiny.

So excited to see more shade added to the que prior to the station. After being in that section over an hour last Saturday I can say it was needed. So thankful the park is becoming more sensitive to issues such as this.

I’m glad it’s there in the event a loose article falls out of someone’s pocket on the top hat. I’m sure said loose article wouldn’t feel too good falling 82 feet.

Been watching Youtube reviews and almost everyone LOVES Copperhead Strike... Some of them mentioned that the ride is turning out to be unreliable. I could be wrong, but I think it's just new and they need to get the kinks worked out. Hopefully there will be fewer breakdowns in the future.

Probably just opening weekend hiccups. Mack is still one of the most reliable manufacturers on the planet, in the same league as B&M and GCI, so it’ll become more reliable as time progresses.

Also there's an awful lot of park guests that don't seem to get the concept of "no loose articles or bags, period, no exceptions, not even your souvenir cup, if you leave it in the station we're gonna throw it away" which led to at least one empty row on each train when I was there Sunday.

It seems like there was a sensor issue last weekend that caused some problems Saturday. It had to do with blocking and stacking, or the ride thinking there was a stacking problem. There's a video about it on YouTube. They temporarily went to one train operation but then got back to three train operation. I believe while a train was in the station and another on course the third train was in the brake run but didn't advance to the second holding area on the brake run so the train on course stopped at the second launch. I think small issues like that are to be expected on a brand new ride.

With the hangtime on this ride there will be a lot of objects that stay in pockets on other rides butwill find their way out of pockets on this ride. Any efforts to keep the queue lines safe from these objects would be appreciated!

Yea, just opening weekend hiccups. They’ll get the reliability up there. I imagine they probably took a look at the issues while the park was closed these past few days since the Mack engineers were here.

I’m at the park right now for a few hours before heading to school, and then after school I’ll be coming back. They added a shade structure on the final switchback. They also added signs in the queue line with estimated wait times.
