I don’t know if that’s even a thing, but I hope it would be.

It’s not because I unlocked it... I think it’s a safety concern considering smaller kids can ride as well.

I don't ride many of the flat, spinning rides. Do the others have any sort of safety seatbelt installed? Thinking of Scrambler and Do-Si-Do, which my kids can ride an unending amount of times, They can get in and out without an operator assisting, and I think both have a seatbelt that's worn.

Do-Si-Do has a locked lap bar and Scrambler has a lock and chain on the outside to keep riders in. On the old flyers they had the seatbelts with the plastic cover, only reason why I’m wondering what changed.

I think it is a safety concern because it is what I dare to call "A more intense family ride" because since you can control how intense your ride will be, smaller riders may not be accustomed to the sharp, snappy transitions that may or may not happen during the ride.

With a car key or even sometimes my sunglasses I could unlock the old seatbelt on the gliders. Therefore I don't think there's been a real change in safety. I like the new belts and don't have a problem with this setup.

Correct you can unlock them, I am thinking about the younger ones that are riding. I don’t think it would be an issue if it was just us riding. 44 inches tall could be around a 5 or 6 y/o possible a tall 4 y/o. That’s young.

I'll bet a 44" kid could have climbed out of the old gliders setup without unhooking the seat belt. I think you have to want to come out of the gliders to come out.

Anyone can unhook a latch and get out of the seat on Zephyr or Yo-Yo at any time. There are probably other rides I'm not thinking of with similar opportunities for guests to break park rules and injure themselves.

Are those ever used outside of kids rides? That's what changed, they're no longer located in Snoopy land. Besides, you aren't going to fall out of the glider without climbing out of it, and you can easily climb out of the seatbelt too. If you're insistent on not following safety rules, those seatbelts aren't stopping you regardless.

I feel the seatbelt isn't even needed, personally. But I grew up in the 80's where we knew not to stand up or do anything stupid on a moving ride vehicle. I'm glad they got rid of the old seatbelt. Now I don't have to wait to be unlocked.

As far as the Mac, I tried the one in kings dominion and I don't know if it was too fresh but it was real runny. Not sure how the one at carowinds is since I was too blind to see it but hopefully it is better.

I've always wondered if the extra restraint, which you find on every ride now, isn't as much of preventing stupidity as it's simply a second level of restraint. The chances of ONE restraint failing is almost-zero; the chance of BOTH failing on the same circuit is almost-zero-squared.

There isn’t a single rider line, so it would be the same wait as the regular line. Around 9:45 the line was backed up pretty far so I left the ride. It was probably an hour and a half wait at least. I’m not at the park right now, i had to leave for a little bit but I’m gonna head back around 3.

Busy day today. Hurler is open and running very well. It’s line is at the que entrance. Have seen that since God knows when. Vortex has a hefty line, Cyclone’s lower level is full. Pretty much every ride but Zephyr is full so far. Maybe cuz it’s been slowed down every more and seem to have a more short ride time from last year. Idk
