They probably could, but they won't. Unless something major maintenance related came up, they would probably physically be able to run it, they just won't.

When I was there last weekend, I noticed they took the roof off the beginning of the entrance bridge (maybe it's always been like that).

Water and electricity both cost money, so no, there's no way they run up the ride this year (or again, ever, probably).

Everything will stay right where it is until they get a budget to do something with it, because labor and equipment cost money too.

Christopher Mallis wrote:Does anybody think RRR could still be running this season, like even though they closed it if they wanted to just run it for a day, (I know they wouldn't but just think if the ride could still work) everything would probably still work because the boats, conveyors, and everything is still there. nothing has been touched. heck, an umbrella is still open along the course of it where the employee would sit. I wonder if the park just closed it just to close it and the ride actually can still function properly. Just a thought.

I've assumed they were facing some sort of expense necessary to keep it running, that they didnt want to invest.

But I guess there's a chance they just took advantage of all the distraction from the new roller coaster, to quietly sneak RRR out the back door.

Looks? No one wants to see a broken roof, even if it is the RRR queue.

And then put it back?

Could that be the height of the next coaster?
