So did thunder road and we see what happen with that lol. I think it's a big reason we see a lot of coasters isolated in their own areas and don't interact or cross over other coasters. I think parks philosophy is if it can be avoided then it's avoided.

I’m here at the park, not for the coaster crew event but I’m the black kid in the Spider Man hoodie in case anyone was wondering.

There are a lot of school groups here

I heard it was pretty busy today. My daughter works the education days and relayed that to me.

It’s been mildly busy, but not crowded. When it was raining earlier, I was able to get 4 rides in a row (two without having to re-queue) on Copperhead Strike! I wasn’t sure at first, but I’m now solidly convinced that it’s my second favorite coaster in the park. In line for the 6th time today, and after that, I’m heading out.

We got in around 4:30. Jumped on Vortex (son's first time) and waited for one train for front row. Went and knocked out all of Camp Snoopy to knock out more of my "one ride on everything" list - only had to wait on current rides to end.

Walked to Goldrusher and got on a train instantly. Got off (left daughter to ride) and walked to CS. Son and I waited for two trains to get on front row. Grabbed daughter and tried to get to Intimidator before park closed, but hit the line right as they announced the closing - employee wouldn't let us run to the station. Oh well, we'll get to it tomorrow.

In short, there was no line for anything once the kids filtered out. I'm hoping the early showers will keep away people tomorrow, but I think once it clears away around noon the park will get busy.

True. But it has been done. SFoG took out their "Gasp" in the middle of the park for Goliath's station and ran the ride through the park, over other rides and out around the entrance drive. It crosses no less than four major paths, the entrance drive twice, their log jamboree and the Scorcher twice. I just like the interaction between major rides. ... and it proves the point that you don't need a lot of acreage... just enough for the station and just build the ride over the top and through.

Maybe we don't put paths through Intimidator. But they do have plenty of room to put a station in Dinos and extend a ride well beyond boundaries set by the footprint of Dinos Alive.

I didn't say it has never happened . . .

What I said was, in my opinion, if it could be avoided then it is. I actually posted two parks that have defied the parks are running out of room debate.

Went to the park yesterday for the second time this year to celebrate my 10 year olds birthday. Our first visit stunk because CS was down all day but we finally were able to ride yesterday and it was great.

My post has more to do with the general disappointment in the operations of the park yesterday. A few examples: Nighthawk was closed, Drop tower was closed, Hurler was running 1 train so the wait times were ridiculous and it seemed every ride other than Fury and Intimidator the ride ops were so unbelievably lethargic my 90 year old grandma could have dispatched at quicker rates. The park was mildly crowded for a Tuesday since it is spring break week but we were barely able to ride all the rides we wanted because the lines were moving so slow. The small capacity rides like Gliders and Do Si Do took forever because the ride ops looked like they couldn't care less about getting the cars checked in a timely manner. The lines weren't that bad but all of these smaller rides were taking over 30 minutes each to ride. To me this is unacceptable. Sorry rant over.

Can anyone out there today (Wednesday) tell me if Electro-Spin is running? Been showing as closed on Carowinds' Ride Closures page, but not there today.

I'm hoping it's still closed.

Was there open to close yesterday and most opening days so far. Was happy to see it wasn't open. Still has a block of wood supporting it off the ground.

Son and I are riding every ride in the park this year. All that's left is that ride, which we aren't looking forward to doing. We'd prefer it just stay down all year.

Echo Tarheel. Electro Spin is a toss up with Mountain Gliders for best flat in the park.
