It looks like Electro-Spin has been taken off of the schedule ride closures list. The only four remaining are Drop Tower, Yo-Yo, and the two upcharge rides.

And those four are only this week and Fridays, probably due to staffing. Though, the slingshot ride was operating on Tuesday.

We went Monday afternoon/evening and all day Tuesday.

It was busier than expected, but a parent in a line mentioned it was less busy than she expected. The park emptied out around 5 or 6, so you should be fine. You won't get walk-on for everything, but you won't wait more than 20 or 30 minutes.

No "Charlotte" address is in South Carolina. If it's across the state line, it's considered "Fort Mill". So, if Carowinds address is listed as "300 Carowinds Blvd, Charlotte" then it would technically be in NORTH Carolina.

Just stating what's out there. Carowinds lists their address as 300 Carowinds Blvd, Charlotte NC 28273. The ZIP code is a NC one, covering the area that includes the NC side of Carowinds.

If you look at Google Maps, the Cracker Barrel is 295 Carowinds Blvd; QuikTrip is 265. That puts 300 basically across the street from Cracker Barrel (around the entrance road to Carowinds). This is all in the SC side of Carowinds Blvd. Once you pass into NC, you're in the 14400 block. Nothing close to 300.

Their address is technically in South Carolina. But I know businesses can use any address that's inside their property line. I certainly wasn't trying to start a debate on USPS address, just found it odd they were mixing the two states.

No debate. But you got me curious... Postal addresses are based in blocks so if 265 is on one side of the street it would be an even numbered 200-something on the other side... NOT 300. So I dug around...

The last even address is the Circle K and Wendys which is 262 and 270. Actually, according to the York County GIS, the address of the 219 acres of land directly across the street from the Cracker Barrel are all addresses on the "Avenue of the Carolina's" and NOT Carowinds Blvd.

300 Carowinds Blvd isn't even an official address on the USPS site. Weird.

According to Mecklinberg County GIS, the address of the rest of the Carowinds property are 14535 addresses..

another interesting fact is the new North Carolina area that they added on and are now building the hotel is 1000 Coasterview Drive. I guess that will be the name of the new road beside Avenue of the Carolina's that the hotel actually sits on.

To previous statement I saw, this year i have definitely seen a slower pace in dispatching. A lot of waiting for dispatch. From Fury to Goldrusher to Afterburn. I dont know whats going on. Copperhead strike I can see because its new etc. etc. But the other major coasters should not have that problem

On Goldrusher it just depends WHO is working it and HOW MANY people are working on it. I was there in the evening on March 30th and got a ride in on it. The line was pretty long but they had 3 people working (one in operators booth, two checking restraints) I even timed them and they only took a little over a minute to dispatch. The employee in the operators booth defiantly kept the line hyped up because it was not the same old chants it was actually different, I could hear the people screaming from the midway.

This morning, it was nice to see a "no bags" line at the security gate - lines 25+ people deep, but we walked right through barely breaking stride. Of course, not to many people were using it because there were no signs, and most of the lines at the time were bus groups (who are going to stay together regardless). However, they bailed on it soon after we entered, and opened the lane to anyone. Hopefully they stick with it and only adapted today to get the backup of choirs/school groups through a little quicker.

They also need a "re-entry" line at the tickets. I hate having to stand in a line with 20 other people when I'm just showing my wrist and walking in. Coupled with a no bags security line, that would speed up some people getting in.

I do hope they have a no bags line when CH opens for the season, I hate getting stuck behind all of the people dragging a family's worth of swimsuits and towels and stuff.

I've also noticed that mornings when they don't have everything tested out right at open they tend to use the security lines to meter how fast people get in.

I think ever since carowinds added the new security system they have been slowly figuring out how to use it to the best ability. Does anybody know why they have those little gate switchback things for tickets now instead of each individual row for each ticket booth this year? It looks like a mess, also does season pass processing still happen in that building near the grove pavilions? They took down the letter sign where the entry used to be.

They are able to process passes directly at the turnstiles now.

Yeah, that made no sense, having to stand there waiting while the people in front of us each got their picture taken. I'd guess that this change, along with the switchbacks Chris mentioned, are the result of some consultant who's mostly trying to justify their fee.

We did pick up a couple pre-K passes at guest services.
