However, looking at the actual education days agenda, the groups will probably not ride many rides because most of the day is filled with educational activities, and not much else.

I've gone to carowinds atleast 4 times with school groups at different schools and can tell you that there are 0 educational activities that happen during the day. All they do is ride the rides.

Well, anyway, here's yet ANOTHER update.

Due to tight money in my family, we're postponing the trip until either June 11th or June 25th. It's a tuesday so the park will be sorta dead...? It's during the summer too, but I hope that the park doesn't get too crowded.

Let me know what day you're going. If money's tight, I can save you a few bucks at the gate and get you into parking for free. Just give me a week or two notice to make sure I'm available that day to help you out.

I have four passes I can use, with 6 people per pass at the price given. You can PayPal/Venmo/whatever the amount ahead of time and I'll pay on my card.

For those two days, I won't be in town on the 11th, but can be there on the 25th.

Hey, it's totally fine. We just needed to postpone because one of the cars broke down and we're redoing one of the rooms in our house. We'll have enough money to go by the time June rolls around.

Unless you're going to the water park, you'll probably be fine. I try and pick Tuesdays or Wednesdays to go just because of the crowds (or lack thereof). If the weather is good, it will be busy, but most lines will be very reasonable and you might even be able to get a ride on Nighthawk in under 2 hours. :sarcasm:

Last year, I never saw a line for Fury more than 20-25 minutes on a Tuesday. Only memorable long waits I can remember were for Rocochet (why doesn't that line faster?) and for the Goldrusher. (I don't wait for Nighthawk.)

Did they have $20 bring-a-friend days every Tuesday last year? I seem to recall it only being a couple random days in the past. That could end up having a decent impact on crowds this year.

SWEET! I'm glad I can save money on my trip now. I hope that I'll at least be able to ride my top five (fury, intimidator, afterburn, CS, and hurler) in the park, but it'd be really great to ride everything and get it done in one day so I can be satisfied with my trip, unlike last time.

EDIT: Wait. I don't have a season pass. Crap.

I sincerely thank him for his offer, and it was very, VERY nice of him to do so, but he really doesn't need to give me money. my family will have enough to go by then, we just will have to pay for four tickets instead of three plus 20.00$
It really won't be a problem. we're just doing a lot right now that's using up our money but next month we'll be fine, because everything that's going on now will be over and we'll have some free time since it's summer.

Slow down, you aren't understanding.

Each season pass can get up to 6 people in for $20 each. All you need is a season passholder (ie, yawetag) to meet you at the ticket booth to get your whole family $20 tickets. Meet the passholder outside the parking lot so he can ride in with you, and your parking is free as well. No one is giving you any money, they're just giving you access to a season pass so you get the cheaper prices.

I'd offer to do the same, if I was closer and/or had any clue if we'd be heading to the park either of those days.

I can get all four of you into the park for $80. Right now, I see a $40/person deal for admission and all-day drinks, so that would put you at $160 (though it does have the drink plan).

It's not about giving you money, but saving you money. But you implied money is tight (which it is if you have to cancel plans after unforeseen costs come up) and I don't mind helping someone out when I have the ability - and this one is only costing me time and gas. Most likely, I'll take that morning off work and enjoy the park with the kids before working the afternoon.

Because IIRC that station is designed to be able to load/unload two vehicles at once, but the park rarely staffs enough operators to run it at full capacity so once the line backs up it tends to stay that way regardless of how (not) crowded the rest of the park is.
