Those of you that went to C3 what did you think of it as far as the date?

Myself personally I'd rather have it during the late spring or fall sometime.

The reason is that last year it was so stinking hot out there!

It was one of the hottest days of the 2004 and of course there we were at Carowinds all day.

This is just a suggestion, but I thought I'd bring it up and see if anyone else felt that way.

And Max don't beat me up Saturday. lol It's just a suggestion. :)

Yea, it was bloody hot. But, with that in mind keeping us occupied during the heat was a great idea. It beat standing in lines.

Just don't do the first 2 weeks of October as I'll be in Germany.

If you and Max beat each other up can we take pictures? :P

I think it should be when Max can get the park to do it and if it just happends to be a hot day the that is fine with me. If I am not mistaken, I think alot of Regional events are done around the same time each year for planning purposes.

But after all it is Max and the park that has the final word on when C3 is.

Better yet, video!!!

Then we can sell the DVD on CC. lol :o :D

And yeah I'm not trying to make this into something big, but you know people never change things some times if you never say anything.

My phylosophy is that it never hurts to ask.

I just thought I'd suggest it. I'll be coming regardless.

Okay..time for me to chime in...

The date is usually what's best for the park. We've already had some preliminary discussions about this year's event, starting with the date. I realize that August has its good points and its bad points, with the heat being a major factor. Trust me, I prefer a later date; but, right now, its probably going to be in August again this year. We'll decide on an exact date for the event after the park opens for the season.

I realize that its a long day to be at the park. That's one reason why we try to do so much stuff to keep it from feeling so long. Lunch usually lasts around 90 minutes. We can always have park presenations or games to fill in the time. Its not just about coasters and ERT.

I look at it this way too...there's a few things to do outside of the park. You've got plenty of malls and other things to do in the area. Get out and explore the area some.

I'd like to do something different than the scavengar hunt this year. That is fun but I don't want to wear it out. Let it rest for a few years than bring it back. It seems that I never stop planning for C3. Even in class, I'm thinking of games to play, ERT schedules, etc.

I've actually thought about keeping a running "blog" either on here or another website dealing with the planning of the event. It might not be that exciting to some of you but trust me, some of the ideas, etc that we've come up with are very amusing. What do you think? I'd love to have seen that skit/video I was toying with last year, ACE Eye for the PR Guy, come to fruition.

Please, feel free..make comments, suggestions, etc. about the event. I'll take them into consideration and see what can happen.

I hear what you're saying, it's not that big a deal to me...

Last year because it was so stinking hot I just left and went home since I'm only 25 minutes away just to get in the A/C.

The idea of doing the scavenger hunt in the 90 degree heat just didn't appeal to me. lol

Do you think we might get ERT on the Flyers? That'd be fun.

I don't care when it happens, it's a great event regardless. Thanks to Max and the rest for keeping it going.

That being said, yea, is ERT on the flyers a possibility? That would be Whootastic!

Seeing how the park likes to show off their new additions and that they're really proud of the Nick Central revision, you can bet that we'll probably have some ERT on the Flyers. Its definitely on *my* tentative ERT schedule for this year's event. In fact, I'll make no bones about it, I'd love to have opening and closing ERT on them. They're just a lot of fun!

I might add that one of the advantages of having the event in August, would be that if the park has a nice big attraction to announce, it would more than likely be in August instead of Spring. Also, like in 2003, they may even give a tour of the site.

Top Gun was announced in July of '98 and Borg was announced in mid-August of 2003. I agree that there needs to be something besides the scavenger hunt this year. Maybe we can all put our heads together and help Max come up with some exciting new things.

I always welcome suggestions! Feel free to send me any ideas that you might have.

I know one thing that I'd like to do is have more games. We did Match Game the first year. I've thought about Coaster Jeopardy, Family Feud, etc. But, we don't always have the room to do stuff like that with the park in full swing.
