I was speaking with a park official the other day about the rumor First Drop Magazine stated that a multi-level go-kart track was coming to the park in 2005.

This person said that there was indeed discussion about a go-kart track for the park in 2005 but that the plans have been pushed back to a later time frame, possibly 2006 or 2007.

Just wanted to go ahead and clear this rumor up. For now, I guess it's mainly Nick Central for 2005....

I knew it was a false rumor because the park usually does not annouce it out in mags before officaly they do.

^^Actually, it was an accurate rumor. If you read the post carefully, Carowinds did consider the go-karts for 2005, they just decided to push it back another season or two.

Also, for those who are not familiar with First Drop Magazine (European Coaster Club). They have some of the best snoops in the business (which is why I love reading them. ). Although it is not always prudent to print park news before it is officially announced, they are still usually correct.

Hey, I like the idea of a movie themed waterpark at Carowinds, the waterpark as is, isn't worth going to except for Tidal Wave.

I haven't rode all four of Pipeline Peaks' slides. I rode a body slide, pretty cool.
