I actually kinda hope we see something like Forbidden Frontier. It's not Ghost Town Alive, but I definitely want to see more "theme park" and less "collection of flavor-of-the-year attractions."

Is there a rule that the moderator can force people to stay on topic? Just sayin.

Come on guys... "get a thread".

The rest of us will make sure not to read it.

Commenting about it doesn't do anything but add fuel to the fire. What we can do is move on and not mention it if we really are tired of it. Like I am about to do now . . .

Grant my wishes Carowinds . . .

I know it ain’t gonna happen, but I’ma go ahead and wish for this used log flume from italintl:

http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=2227

Not too big, not too wet. It’d fit perfectly in Camp Snoopy once the Dinos are gone.

[EDIT ] While I’m still wishing for outlandish things, since it’s an off-the-shelf model that’s used, spruce it up by adding a show building that covers the top of the lifts/drops, that’s themed to going through a saw mill.

I'm sure the park could pretty it up and make it look more like a permanent attraction. That's what they did with the County Fair rides.

Beggars can't be choosers, so if there's any chance in hell that Cedar Fair starts to build dry-park water rides again, I'll take a tiny Reverchon flume over nothing at all, which is what we currently have.

While I would welcome ANYTHING next to nothing, that model looks identical to what they have at the South Carolina State Fair. I think it's too cheesy to put into a major park like Carowinds. Maybe they could spend JUST A TAD more money on a better one.

That said, I'd ride it just to get a splash on a hot day.

I wish larger parks would get a fluke ride like Waldameer has. Yes, it’s small, and I think that adding a dual loading station would help. But the size isn’t so small as to be unworkable in a park the size of Carowinds, especially if they added some other new takes on older water rides.

The Reverchon models have 8 four-person flumes, and the course is only 700 feet, so there’s pretty much continuous loading.

Here’s an example of what one can look like without all the extra carnival crap attached to it:

Can't put lipstick on a pig. Flat rides are different.
