You’re assuming there’s going to be something to tease. Carowinds hasn’t had an off year in many years. It may be time.

Honestly I’m glad. We had a massive year this season, so I hope they shift their focus towards landscaping and renovating some of the areas of the park.

Definitely could use an off year. The entrance plaza needs to be finished to remove the art deco buildings. Jukebox dinner could use a remodel and add indoor seating areas.

Why would Carowinds have an off year the year that they plan on opening the new hotel? They have to market it for people to want to come stay...

2020 will bring something new...

Heck, it could be that they're still making that decision: "do we yank it and build something else or do we dump a bunch of money into fixing and refreshing it?"

Given that they haven't done much with it all season, it seems pretty likely that it's been SBNO this year because it needed a bunch of work outside the scope of "routine maintenance".

The decision has been made . . .
