With park maintenance/higher-ups walking through it, it seems like something is bound to replace it soon. I can’t imagine a Forbidden Frontier attraction would take long to construct, and seeing as 2020’s shaping up to be a lower investment year, it doesn’t seem like it would be a huge blow to the budget. Hell, they can probably use the existing troughs as a path through the attraction.
Thoughts?
Nothing is happening with RRR this year, it's far more likely that the space will be used for the next major attraction in the next five years. If we do see something smaller, it'll be in the DA area that doesn't need a bunch of groundwork.
That said, I generally believe this will be an infrastructure year for Carowinds because there's so many gaps in the new versus old that need cleaning up. I don't think it's gonna be "lower investment" either, infrastructure is expensive.
