For the purposes of our personal budgeting, we figured it was 25-30 meals per person to make the cost worthwhile.

Which is why I mentioned that if I lived in the Fort Mill area, I would be one of the ones extorting the free meals for sure. If you only visit a handful of times, the meal plan wouldn't be worth it. We live too far away to do that. We don't eat in the park and use those "savings" toward gas to get there.

Agreed, but I think it's all a matter of preference. Personally I haven't even bought a souvenir cup at any park in years because literally the only thing I end up getting is ice water and that's free, lol.

I do understand if you have kids/teens that can't go without a soda for longer than an hour, though. I just prefer spending my cash on t-shirts or the occasional hoodie.

It looks like they're doing a Peanuts Celebration between the end of Weekend operations and Winterfest. It makes sense to have an event here to draw people to the park if they're staying open during that time.

Here's a list of the rides that will stay open:

All of Camp Snoopy (11 Rides)
    Afterburn
    Boo Blasters
    Carolina Cyclone
    Carousel
    Copperhead Strike
    Do-si-Do
    Drop Tower
    Electro Spin
    Flying Cobras
    Fury 325
    GoldRusher
    Hurler
    Intimidator
    Mountain Gliders
    Ricochet
    RipCord
    Rock n Roller
    Scrambler
    Skytower
    Sling Shot
    Zephyr

Two more weekends to ride Fury this year!

All of the lower part of crossroads, Nighthawk, vortex, scream weaver and windseeker are closed. Why is scream weaver closed though? I thought it was able to run in colder weather from winterfest last year.

Staffing maybe? Wasn't it one of the rides closed during the week at the beginning of the season?

Aside from Nighthawk, all of the rides you mentioned only hit full capacity on peak operating days and during slower times are typically fairly empty. I do find the choice to operate Drop Tower pretty interesting, since it's typically one of the rides in the park that you can walk onto on all but the busiest days.

That's a good call, too. Maybe we'll start to see a rotation of rides not offered during these late-season events.
