Here's a bit of useless info, but heck, it's the off-season and it does deal with Carowinds.
I was told today that Kodak will no longer be running the on-ride camera booths on any of the coasters. Another company came along with a better system, and a better overall profit package for the park. And another blow for the Kodak Co. Bye, bye Kodak......

I don't think that's useless info.

I hope "onboard" means on-ride or the rest will sound stupid.

Maybe the photos will be better and help drive sales up. Not only better but offer better packaging (or do you think the park does the packaging? ) You know, frame design, key chains, etc....

What would be an interesting fact is if we knew the average amount of on-ride photos that were sold last year then compare them to sales this year.

Hmm, another thought, I wonder if the new company can get on-ride photos of Borg. That would surely help sales.

Was the equipment Kodak's or Paramount’s?

Is it Fuji Film? They really seem to be killing Kodak here in the US.

Several parks now have Fuji products over Kodak products. I think Disney switched to Fuji a few years ago. Dollywood had Fuji for a while and then it switched back to Kodak.

I'm partial to Kodak because of the big plant it has in Kingsport, TN. They provide a lot of jobs for the area. (the air smells like chemicals for miles)

I find stuff like this very interesting. Like Forseer said, it's not useless information at all.

I Noticed that some times when I try to get a photo it comes out pretty bad so....yeah for the switch.

It was Kodak's equipment. I forgot to ask who the new company was. It will be the same as Kings Dominion's though. Anyone know who they use?

Who does BGT's photos? I really like how you can get a keychain with your on ride photo on it and I wish you could do that at PC. I might actually buy on ride photos if they did that.

Actually if I am not mistaken they were out last year too. The Park was running it then. I don't know who runs it @ PKD but I am wandering if it is the same that is also at PKI.

I don't think it is FUJI, but if it is, be thankful. From experience, I can tell you that FUJI is much better equipment, has much better maintainence people, and is just over all better quality, and I've had to deal with both FUJI & Kodak @ the same business.

Kodak relies on their name, FUJI relies on quality, YMMV.
