As We get to the weekend I will keep this thread to tell you guys the weather Forcasts for Carowinds big day.

Right now they are saying for friday high 60 degrees and rain in Mid afternoon. Hopefully clearing by late evening.

For Saturday sunny and high of 57 degrees.

So it might be a big cooler from last seasons opening.

Stay tuned for more updates

I don't mean to sound rude, but this is a total waste of a thread.

If people can't check weather.com or watch their local news then they are in trouble.

Well now they are predicting snow for March 18th and Saturday Morning. So this park may not run with snow on the ground. As I say forcasts change trough 9 days. We might have a snowy opening.

This thread just adds a bit of excitement for me. Kind of like a "mystery" or "what if" type thing.

It would be awesome if the park opened with snow on the ground. Not in the walkways but in the lanscape and building tops. I can olny imagine how thw Westerners ride year round as I see many videos and pictures of snow covered parks that are open.

Yeh, but I don't think anybody should have faith in a forecast further than say...3-4 days out.

I agree, it would be neat to see the park dressed in white.

^But it woudlen't be too cool to be riding Top Gun while it was dressed in white. ;)

Snow is not what I had in mind for opening afternoon/day. OK, so it would be
cool to see my favorite park blanketed in white. If that is the case,
I'll bring my camera and make the pictures for our family's 2005
Christmas card. Wouldn't that be neat?

I don't think they would open the coasters with ice on the tracks, though.
That sounds kind of dangerous. Would the brake runs still work?

So we may freeze our fannies off. We'll be there anyway.
Bring those earmuffs so your ears don't freeze on the flyers. :P

Uhh, the forcast now says that on thursday night we could see some snow and ice. Accumulations between 2-4 in. Fri morning it will be snow through earlyeve and then changing over to showers. High 45. Saturday will be cold rain or sleet in morning then clearing. :(. High 57. Low. 35.

So I hope the park will open in this weather.

:( I'm going to quit watching the weather report. It just seems to get worse
for Friday afternoon's preview. High 45 with rain? Wonder if they'll even open
the park.

Oh, I'm so depressed now. I was looking so forward to that. :(

What is local news/weather station for the Carowinds area(lower Charlotte). News 14 Carolina shows clear for Opening Day buy Weather.com shows rain?

I just give up when it comes to the weather. It rains, it rains. Mother Nature is gonna do what she wants and there's nothing we can do about it.

Uhh... I would suggest that you re-evaluate your interpretation of that forecast. Rain, we may see a little. Snow or ice accumulating to a 2-4 inches... ahhhh ... no. <_<
