Charlotte's 6News (WCNC - NBC) closed out tonights broadcast with some clips from Sundays B-roll in Nick Central. All the clips were quick and the whole segment was only about 30 seconds but the very last scene was........<drumroll please>.......

Our very own COASTERBRUH as he was snapping his sail on the Phantom Flyers!!!

other interesting clips were the onboard Phantom Flyer camera shots and the Flying Dutchman's Revenge.

He sure tucked tail and ran today while we were snapping in the pouring cold rain today! He just went for one spin! Couldn't hang with the big boys (well..three rounds was enough for me!)

Good job guys! I think Scott did well with the smoking questions too. Hopefully, not TOO many people will see that clip and head out to the park this weekend.... YES, I'm selfish. B)

BTW - The weather is shaping up to be real good on Sat. High 60, maybe higher.

Will someone explain the snap for me? I couldn't quite tell from the video, probably because I didn't know what I was looking for.

thanks

Thanks for the link foreseer. That clip was much longer than the one I saw. I usually watch the 6pm local news and they only showed about 30 seconds of that link you gave. That clip must've been from an earlier broadcast.

One thing they didn't show on the longer version was the Flying Dutchman in action. The clip I saw showed the ride going full steam.

Well:

Sugar Snap Peas - Though delicious and nutritious, lack any resemblance to the "Snap" indicated in the previous posts.

Snap, Crackle and Pop - American cultural icons that have graced the box cover of Rice Crispies Brand cereal for decades. Snap is identified by the prominant placement of his name across the top of his hat as shown <a href='http://www.kelloggs.ca/whoweare/scp.htm' target='_blank'>here.</a>

Snapple - A wonderful line of beverages that are a treat to the pallet and include useless bits of trivia under every cap! The new century's "Fortune cookie" if you will.

Snap-on Tools - A line of innovative and affordable tools for all uses. Great logo and widely praised by mechanics everywhere.

S.N.A.P. - the Super Nova Acceleration Probe. It's mission: To explore space, the final frontier and discover how much interstellar trash exists in the known universe.

SNAP - The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. What more is there to say.

SNAP - The Special Needs Advocate for Parents. A fantastic organization that could use your support.

Snap-tite - Every little boys dream. A modeling company providing cool models of hot cars that require not a drop of glue for assembly. Actually, my Honda is a Snap-tite for all practical purposes... and you can actually drive it!

SNAP - Satellite Navigation and Positioning Group. Geocaching has a friend... a real friend.

Then there's Snapyourdesk.com. A great site where you can view snapshots of people's desktops... literally.

Finally -(LONG VERSION) "Snapping" is a term used to describe the action of taking a flyer "Car" or "Bucket" to a height at which its vertical momentum causes a release of tension against the cables from which it is suspended. As gravity overcomes the momentum, the "Bucket" falls back toward earth causing the tension to reform quickly on the cables. This creates a "Snapping" reflex and sound from the cables.

(SHORT VERSION) - You get your flyer kick a$$ high and it falls down fast snapping the cables. FUN FUN FUN! :D :D :D

Someone just comfort me in the thought i'm not going to make the flyer go to high and flip my *** out of it or snap my cables loose or something and i'll fly my bird more freely saturday
