Found this on screamscape. Be awesome if they would add a launched coaster and a tower ride. That would be awesome on the top of a mountain!

TIMBERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

What a crazy name for a drop tower. But the ride ops could have some fun with it.

I thought Acrophobia was great having a speaker on the top of the tower where the operater could talk just to the riders and psyche you out and stuff.

We were in line and I heard him say "We'll be dropping in 5, 4, oops!" or something like that and he let them drop... lol

I'd love to see a clone of Acrophobia, but without those seats. They are a killer (for guys) hint hint.

I was at Dollywood this past weekend. The joint was packed due to the car show in Pigeon Forge but we got to ride Thunderhead and the new Dizzy Disk. That ride is fantastic, but hard on the jewels in you know what I mean guys. The new country fair is well done and I'm ready to head back in a few weeks.

I didn't have any problems with the seats on Dizzy Disk for some reason.

I loved that ride.

whoa, just got back from dollywood and for what it is, Liked it. I was expecting more hey, thats what I get for having expectations. Thunderhead seemed like B&M designed it and tenn tornado was bitter/sweet (bitter because it was soo short/sweet because it was soo smooth). The people were sooo nice and the all you care to eat resturants in parks is a reaaaal good Idea!!

BGW I thought that was a screamin' swing but I was a tad bit pissed because everyday I got lost going from and going to dollywood and the hotel!!

MAPQUEST SUCKS!!!! (they had me going thru all sorta nooks and cranies when all I had to do was take I-40 all the way there  !!

^ Haha. Did you have to go weaving through backwoods on a two lane road? Maps.com had me go that way last time, and then when we were leaving we saw the signs to I-40 and realized you can just take that all the way.

you got it!! And then half the roads didnt have signs that said they turned into another name. But next time I go im gonna just do I40 to the main strip and turn a 4.3 hour drive into a 3.5. I did think it was cool going thru the mountians. Hey is ghosttown visible from the road because I wanted to take some pics. Also does anyone know what happen to that hotel that had the indoor water slide and some outside ones too?? Wanted to tour that also but was a tad bit pissed after getting lost and finding out it was one straight shot to dollywood!

I was at Dollywood myself yesterday (Sat 4/29). The weather was kinda yucky but that didn't keep the crowds down. Fortunately, Dollywood is a show park and Thunderhead's wait time was anywhere from 10-20 minutes. TT had a 5 minute wait. Our last Thunderhead ride was in the front seat in the pouring rain. What fun!!! Fortunately, the rain stayed away until we left around 6pm.

Yes I learned the hard way about Mapquest going from Dorney Park to Williams Grove back in 2001. I will never use it again. They must work for the Arabs cause they send you the long way every time.

PS: Was the Disk-O open? It was closed Saturday and we overheard someone in line saying it started smoking and they had to shut it down.

Ghost Town is visible from the road (the chair lift & tram) but that is not a road you want to take to Dollywood. Best to take I-40 west past the Maggie Valley exit if you are going to DW.

You were there sat?? how could you have missed a superstar like myself!! On friday disk-o was running w/ no waiting. on sat it was running when I was there. For some reason blazin' fury didnt open until the afternoon sat.

I just wanted to go check it out and see if I can get some pictures of the red devil coaster. Is it me or was every other place on the strip a go-cart track?? And another thing, it seems like every person in tenn gives out directons in traffic light format ie; take 6 lights up and make a left, if you pass the ballpark then you went too far :D

I'm happy to hear you had a nice time at Dollywood!

That area can be hellish to get around though. I always use the interstate to get to Sevier County, but once I'm in it I stay on the smaller back roads that run parallel to the strip, and of course Middle Creek Road that runs back through the hills to Dollywood.

I did get off I-40 on a two lane road to Sevierville (near Newport) one time...bad choice. <_<

Was the Veggie Tales coaster open yet? It still wasn't open to the public when I was at the park about a week and a half ago.
