Looking at the superstructure of the flyers, I see that it is welded. I don't think that this welding would have happened in 1923, but rivets would have. What kind of rebuilding was done by carowinds when they inherited the flyers? Are we looking at anything at carowinds built in 1923 or has the entire ride been replaced over the years?
Also, with all the snapping, wouldn't the flyers have fallen apart with rivets?
