Greetings from Paramount Parks and Paramount's Carowinds! We are presently conducting a relatively brief survey about a new holiday event we're considering for either 2005 or 2006 and we'd very much appreciate if you could take a few minutes to participate. The survey will help us to determine when and if the new event is introduced

Talk about raising the bar. For a park looking to sell alot is going on right now! But then again, this can be more fuel to get the parks off the market.

**off topic**

Hows things been going guys. Havent been posting much latey. However I did get a chance to check out Tomb Raider:Fire Fall. Guys, that ride is soo awesome. Its a ride that is just as fun watching as riding (I think its more fun watching myself). However their flyers suck to me. I could not get it to snap at all. On the other hand, Sheikra is a totally awesome ride. Paramount parks I hope your listening!!

Good to hear you enjoyed FireFall Jarvis. When I rode it in April I was fairly impressed as it is without a doubt better than the version at PKI, but I could have done without the pain to my 'man area' .

The PKD Flyers are quite a different kind than those that are at Carowinds. If you approach them like Carowinds then you will get nowhere fast, believe me I speak from experience. Do not get discouraged though, as THEY ARE SNAPPABLE. Lots of people say they aren't.. but let me assure you, they are. (You should come to PKD with me, Jon, and his roommates.. :D)

And for the topic at hand, if Carowinds were to compete in the Christmas-event market, I would probably be one of the first in line, regardless of cost. If it were to even half as good as Dollywood's event, then this thing would be amazing. Heres hoping it gets done.

Howdy Jarvis,

And for all the readers I actually saw the famous film maker Jarvis at our very own theme park the other week!!! Touch me, I'm special! ;) lol

I'm glad to hear that Fire Fall is better than the PKI version. I hope the ride time is a lot longer too.

I have mixed feelings about the Christmas/Winter celebration.

On one hand it will be a good revenue maker for the park when they usually don't have any income coming in except for season pass sales.

And also whatever is being built for 06 we could probably get some sneek peeks at, unless it's on the back side of the park or something. I wonder if they would have the entire park open for this, or make a dead-end at the water park.

Seems like they did that at Scarowinds.

I'm not a big fan of Halloween, and this would interest me more than Scarowinds.

On the other hand, Carowinds tried this once before and it flopped so bad it wasn't back the next year if I recall correctly.

I love the idea of a winter event. My favorite time to go to Dollywood is to see the lights. There's just something about being all bundled up in the freezing cold & looking at the lights.

I loved SFOT's Holiday In The Park winter event. Christmas lights, campfires, hot chocolate, special food from outside vendors (Indian Tacos, Chocolate Dipped Fried Twinkies, and Fajitas to name a few), and coasters. What's not to like?
