RCT3: Soaked! is out! So, is anybody going to recreate Water Works? (I had to tie this thread into PC somehow!)

I don't have it yet...who plans to get it?

It looks really awesome...only problem is that I have Intel Integrated Graphics....but if I can build an awesome park in RCT3 without reflective water then I can do in Soaked! (hopefully!)

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 doesn't work on my computer. I wish they would come out with a RCT2 expansion pack that has the new Waterslides and rides from RCT3.

It works on my computer (I don't see how.) My computer is sorry....it is a Gateway.....was great....but they made it so that it is impossible to find a good enough video card to fit! I bought a brand new ATI Radeon 9800 8X AGP Pro (12b meg) and took the wrapper off, went to install it and it would not fit! Gateway made the tower to small! So there went 199 dollars (50 dollar mail in rebate) If Circut City doesn't take it back then I might install it on my very old Windows 98 computer...add some ram...etc....and pray that RCT3 would work on it! I have intel integrated graphics...have to turn on 32 bit color to get sky...no water...no reflections..shadows...bloom...all the good stuff..but it does work...I hope Soaked works....I will have to download the patch to get water thoughbut I can see the clear water slide water in RCT3 so I shouln't have in trouble with pool water, etc..

Totally correct, I LOVE the rct series and am one of the biggest fans, but they went very wrong with rct3. It's is so hard to use and to see and to move and it's so big that it's SO SLOW and just to much of a hastle! I almost have given up on it, so I'm not sure I'll be getting soaked.

I would absolutely love for it to go back to 2D if they added the same rides they have in 3 (overbanked turns, large corkscrews). I would never stop playing that.

For RCT 3 to be dead, it sure does seem alot of outlets that do sell PC games are sold out of Soaked. Guess you are abit incorrect of that Thunder.

Oops, my fault. I meant that RCT3 is dead to me, there are definitely a lot of people who love the game, no mistaking that.

Most people hate it because you need to fix up your computer a bit or you run it at low detail.. I have a fairly good computer and It runs at a fine pace if you know what you need and don't need in terms of settings. B)

Well, the other problem is if your computer is too good it doesnt work well. I've played it 5-10 times since i got it in November. Its pretty bad when my computer (which is realatively high-end compared to the average comp) has frame rates so bad that its skips consume 1/8-1/4 of a turn on a slow moving coaster.

I could never go back to RCT 1/2. I just love RCT3...it is so easier to build since you have unlimited viewing....you have to learn not to use as many trees, spread out your parks. and use terrain to improve fps by blocking out items...But, I think it is the best RCT yet!

Ok here are a few of my problems with the game.

When you build most walls, you can only put things on one side of the wall, on the other side you have to leave that whole block open, which is SUCH a waste of space that it drives me crazy.

The took out the best part of RCT2, the SIGNS! Yea they have the scrolling pieces of garbage but I loved the stationary giant lettered signs.

I also have a pretty high end computer, I bought a pretty good graphics card (the one the game recommended) and the game still takes atleast 5 minutes to load! I also have horrible lag once I get past about 5 rides.

And it seems to me you just can't make the parks as aesthetically (sp?) appealing as you could in 2, and that is a big part of my parks.

Oh well...

yea, atari hurt themselves badly when the higher-end computers wound up not being able to run it well without extreme lag. I lost almost all faith in them when they gave up trying to fix the lag, and now, brought out an expansion before fixing the lag problem on better comps.

^Yeah, and having two RCT3 games will Create even more lag.

Even if this game creates the most lag any game ever has, you guys have to admit that it looks awsome.

Soaked actaully reduces lag....I have Intel Integrated Graphics, 256 mb memory, and it runs fine....(don't ask me how it does but it does.) You just have to space out your parks. You can't do like in the previous ones and make everything all together...you have to space out, create hills to block out parts of the park, etc... I got it yesterday...it is so much fun!
