I got at the park with my girlfriend around 6PM, go straight to the Flyers, spotted Jon and Jay tearing it up. I would have said hi but I didn't want to yell accross the queue, and embarress anyone. After that, we hit the OddCoaster because she didn't think it look too bad(she ain't a coaster freak. ), all the way up the lift she is fussing at me for lying to her(I didn't). Then we took a nice ride on the Dutchman, and headed towards the Goldrusher. She looks at it, decides to ride then gets worried about the little dip over the lift, and punches me in the side(OUCH!). Anyway, we get off, and she wants to go again(Impressed me ). The Scrambler came next, then Wings, then we left. We get out to the parking lot, and we can't leave because the guest drop off lot is closed. A little bit of cussing, York County Police told us we were getting a parking ticket(they can't do that! :angry: ), the fireworks were NOT worth all of that trouble to see. Thankfully, they didn't give my mom that parking ticket. To make things worst, it takes half an hour to get the hell off of the Ave. of the Carolinas.

Rough night, but still a good date.

After my last experience trying to get out of Carowinds after the fireworks, I've vowed to never again go on July 4th.

More stalking :blink: .. you *need* to say 'hey' sometime (C3 perhaps?). I know I would not be embarrassed had you 'yelled' from afar at us... At the very least wait for us to finish and introduce us to the little lady. It would have been a quick hello I assure you, I know you don't want us imposing on your date, and you don't want us to either!

I was there with several friends yesterday as well (4th of July). We arrived around 7pm and waited approx. 10-15 minutes for our flight on the Phantom Flyers. I must say, there were lot's of experienced snappers there. I think I had one of my better rides also. Seems like once you get into a certain rythm with the snapping, they come easier and easier.

Anyway, we left at 9pm and got out before the fireworks started. I did not want to get caught up in that mass exodus (again).

BTW, every coaster we rode took anywhere from 2-10 minutes of waiting. I think that's because everyone was in line for BORG. That line stretched all the way back to the main sign. We passed on that one. All in all, for a 2 hour visit we had a great time.

Next time I will but it will not be C3, I will not be there. My final trip of the season to Carowinds(until October) will be around the first or second week of August.

I went on the 3rd, didn't actually go in the park this time but hung around the mall lot for the fireworks. Boy was it crazy! I have never been to Carowinds for the fireworks so totally new experience. Everyone in the parking lot were doing their own fireworks so the Carowinds ones weren't much to notice. I definitley did get hit with a bottle rocket while standing in the parking lot! Like I said, it was crazy there!

This is a late report, but we went to see the fireworks on the night of the 3rd.
We didn't go into the park but managed to find a space on the grass in front
of that mall to park our car. There were constant fireworks being set off from
the parking lot. By the time the Carowinds show began, there was so much
smoke from the parking lot that the real fireworks were a bit hard to see.

They were nice though, but the action in the parking lot kind of put a haze
over the sky and it was not as great as it could have been. I'm always
impressed by how they shoot the fireworks off the skytower. It looks
really cool. We will continue to return year after year to see them.

I say he's a fake! He is about as real as erica possum! Thats why he always say he's going to an event and then backs out and says he see's everyone from the board but no one see's him....

Carowindsman has met me in person, I lost all of the photos of me when my computer crashed a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I will come to C3, I will have to talk to my girlfriend and con her into something. Her birthday is the 23 of August, and she wants me there but it is a two and half drive from college to home.

It seems like UNCP is two and half hours from everything. The Pavilion, my girlfriend, Carowinds, maybe I should just stay where I am so I can be 2 minutes from my girlfriend, and a hour from Carowinds.

Is Scott Anderson going to be there?
