Jammin J, i was just editing my other post when you posted that. I forgot about PGA. And to think we got stealth from them too. Poor peeps up there dont have a whole lot. :unsure:

We're not terribly neglected, i just hate seeing PKI and PKD getting these great brand new thrill rides and stuff every year (i'm a thrill ride junky) and not the rest of the parks (though the flyers are pretty sweet this year...sorry PKI). I'm happy we got borg, and even ricochet in the past 3 yrs (not so much reptar). I never said we needed a new coaster every year, or even every other year or anything...just want some dang flat rides that arent NICK lol.

I hate to be a pain in the ***, but care to elaborate further?

In the past 5 years PKD has put in :

Hypersonic - definitely not worth the money to bring it over from Utah, let alone all that money they poured into it to fix it and redo the trains.

Drop Zone - I can understand this, we already have one, I don't think that it being any higher makes it a better ride, longer drop maybe, but height is pretty relative.

Tomb Raider - Yeah this ride is pretty intense, but I don't know how many times I could ride it due to 'significant pain'. Hopefully a non-floorless one finds its way to Carowinds soon.

And the past 5 years for PKI:

Son Of Beast - Kings Islands Hypersonic if you will. Not worth the money to keep it up.

Tomb Raider - If you're a 'thrill junky' then this one is not for you... theme junky maybe though..

Delirium - I've not ridden this, as it was down on my most recent visit, but I have heard nothing but good things.

Italian Job - This coaster is good once, it's wasn't worth removing the Flyers over (but yes I am glad they are at Carowinds) It just doesn't have the rerideablity that Top Gun, or anything else at Carowinds has. It's pretty tame as far as coasters go, it's sort of like a Gold Rusher on steriods, with theming.. not that great in the long run.

Now what rides were you referring to again?

Its a no winner w/ this person, all they seem to do is complain about how carowinds doesnt have this and that and about how the coasters are "similar" to other coasters and that can be a dissapointment to the park guest...

Like they really care if reptar is a clone or if BORG was relocated.

Agreed, Not to make those feel bad but to think what we have now and Our parks are a bit more maintained than theirs.

After just returning from a trip to PKI, I'm proud to say PC is my home park. SOB way to rough to enjoy, TombRaider way to short to enjoy, Delerium broke down again for the whole day, and Itilian Job's line way to long to justify standing in it.

You know what, you're all right...I was being stupid. Sorry I was being irrational with everything and didnt think what i said through all the way. I think i take a lot of aspects of the park for granted b/c i've been going there for so many years...and i was letting that take over my thought process and not really being rational. The park has always been there for me whether for a coaster fix or to hang out with some friends and i've forgotten that. :unsure: We did get BORG last year and that should have made me more than happy, but i was being selfish in wanting more and more, taking for granted what is already there for me. I would still like a new thrill ride (of course, i'm a thrill ride nut ), but i shouldnt let that cloud my thought process and rationality.

I hope everyone here can accpet my apology and forgive me, and take away any judgements of me formed from this topic. I admit that i was indeed wrong, and i hope you all can forgive me for being stupid. I promise in the future to make sure i think everything through clearly and post only what i can back up.

I personally don't like any of the choices either.

None of those companies have any expereince in running a park.

Running a park is a lot different than running say a TV station.

I hope they drop the company names too, just go back to calling it Carowinds.
