I voted a big yes on the survey for the holiday event, so I'm glad to see them going ahead with it. Hopefully a major ride or two will be open. That wasn't my main impulse towards having a winter event, but it'd be nice to get a fix in the winter without driving to Florida.

I'd *like* a new coaster, depending on what it is of course. I'd be surprised to get one though, with BORG still being a big draw for the "regular" folks. My guess is they'll milk the "new" out of that one for at least one more season - so a coaster would be a surprise to me.

My first inclination is that they'll do a waterpark retheme / expansion - although the rumors of a Boomerang Bay here are starting to reach "hyper under the bridge" status. I'm sure we'll see BB before the hyper though

Guess I'll go out on a small limb and predict a flat ride of some sort, or a flat ride AND Boomerang Bay. The last time we got a waterpark addition we also got Scooby's Haunted Mansion so that's not too farfetched to get both. Although it's not unusual to clone some things between PC and PKD, I'll guess a Delerium over a Tomb Raider top spin like PKD's. They very well might clone the Tomb Raider theme though.

My prediction is Tomb Raider:The Ride, which will be a Huss Giant Frisbee like PKI's Delerium. Oh yeah, and it'll be located in Thrill Zone, in the present Skyflyer location. Ok, so it's less likely than Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay, but it's more fun to wildly speculate! B)

A Flat would be nice... i miss the whirling dervish so much, and if the removal of frenzoid/WWF is true, then Carowinds will be just about flatless.....

If a flat was added, Skycoaster area would be a good place, it isn't open half the time and is usually empty.

Maybe we should do a hyper dance...maybe we'd get it sooner... but I agree with KenB, that Borg still isn't broken in for many ppl who don't travel to the park as often as CC members.. TG is 'broken in' for example..

I have a question, why would they open a waterpark expansion in the middle of winter? doesn't make sense to me... or is the surprise for next season???

Interesting; I was just going to post about Winterfest myself. When I was at the park today I found the Country Kitchen decked out in Christmas gear, and the Kaleidoscope covered in garland, as well as a bunch of other random stuff in the park. I figured either the landscaping folks were smoking something really good, or they were doing some sort of activity for Winterfest (shooting video maybe?).

I hoped they would do something this Holiday. Cruising thru Christmas Town is cool and all but it gets old, plus the traffic.

Great news indeed. On the survey I commented that I thought a good idea would be to have a great story teller in the Nick Theater to tell kids some Christmas stories with some other effects or do it in the main Theater.

Hmm, maybe a Boomerang Bay with a Water Coaster. That would get me back in the water. Oh, maybe use the Carolina Queen as a shipwreck like Disney Did?

I really don't see us getting a hyper. It just does not seem that Paramount wants to go in that direction. They seem content on building Family themed attractions with a few adult rides sprinkled in. But, I also love to be wrong when something great happens and I thought otherwise.

I doubt it will be a coaster, but I really hope for maybe that MTV launch coaster.

A giant frisbee and a remake of Thrill Zone is really what I see as possible and what I would also like if we can't get a coaster.

Also, remember at C3 they said they had plans for redo of County Fair. That might happen next year. Giant Frisbee!!!! and Giant Swings!!!
