I'm very happy that the park has decided to have a holiday season event. Maybe all the raving we did on the survey from a few weeks ago helped out!

As for next year, I'm kind of thinking that they'll redo Waterworks, but with Six Flags Over Georgia building whatever it's building, you kind of wonder... B)

I don't think the survey helped much since Winterfest was already decided on last Oct.

Glad to see it's return, Christmastown was getting really old and boaring.

Boring, I agree. Christmas and Winter in general are really boring with no coaster or amusement park rides to ride. Sadly, Winterfest would only mean, get to be in the park but it doesn't mean the rides will be open. Anyways, only part of the park will be open. Look for guess soon.

I doubt it, only if weather permits. The County Fair, Paramount Plaza, and Carolina RFD(Similar to SCarowinds) will be the only area open with NO rides operating. Scooby-Doo could be used as a Christmas dark ride, but knowing Carowinds they wouldn't do that much. The Frenzoid Pond could be used for Ice Staking.

Dollywood keeps most non-water rides open till the end....depends all on the weather though!

I love how Rollernut speaks as if he is an authority on the subject, when it fact he is making things up as he goes along. If Dollywood can run Thunderhead at Christmas, then I'm sure Carowinds has the ability to run a few rides, if they choose to. Max passed the video teaser along to me, and I'm going to upload it right now to the site. It's the same as the Kings Island one, but with the Skytower instead of the Eiffel Tower.

The thing that killed me is that Jonathan clearly stated that I sent him the video and he still wanted to know if Carowinds sent it to him or he photoshopped it.

Of course, he has all this wild speculation about the event (which might not even be called WinterFest at all...has anybody thought of that?) Just because it was called WinterFest back then might not mean its going to be called WinterFest today. Times have changed. Its might be themed to a Paramount product! (Pure speculation there.)

You just never know sometimes.
