OK, you're probably wondering what the heck is Swampfox doing? Is he out of his mind? Well, sometimes I feel that way...but no, I am a pretty sane person.

I got to thinking though. Usually when any park makes an announcement early in the season (July) it is for one reason. My theory is that they do this because the new attraction is going to be big, and the park needs to start construction early in order to have it ready for the opening day of the next season. It's hard to start construction early without people wondering what is going on. Plus, it builds hype early on and will spur season pass sales for 2006. Top Gun construction started within days after the press announcement in July 1998. Believe me, I wasted no time getting my 1999 season pass.

Could we be in for another big treat from the folks at Paramount? Maybe we will know on
July 25, 2005.......

;) :o

I can believe so being that the last 2 years of additions didnt "break the bank" in a sense being that the attractions were probably gotten at a very cheap price, if at any cost at all. So with that said I think the park has enough money allotted to spend on a major new attraction right now cause I really dont think new signs on existing attractions cost millions...

But im sure rollernut has his "theories" and is willing to share...

According to Max:

Don't expect an announcement for the 2006 attraction in July.....

I guess the press conference on the 25th is just for the winter event. But I know you have your sources as well... I can't say I would mind something 'big' myself. B)

^Yes, that could be the case. We'll have to wait until the 25th I suppose. I guess this is just wishful thinking on my part. I just have this good feeling about the 2006 attraction for some reason. And yes, I have heard from my source, the Dip-n-Dot guy, that it will be a coaster!! I can always count on my Dip-n-Dot source!!

Considering that the video that I got is Christmas themed...

I'd say that the announcement will be related to the probable holiday event. Since PKI's announcement is the same day and there's been heavy speculation about them getting a similar event...ho, ho, ho!

Unless the 2006 attraction is going to be Christmas themed! Any possible Paramount properties that could be used?

Imagine the Drop Zone looking like a big candy cane...

I think it will probably be something about the WinterFest thing, but i could be wrong. Next year, if we are getting anything big, chances are it will be an expansion and re-theming of the waterpark to Boomerang Bay (with all the stuff on there survey's about a waterpark [expansion] it makes sense, and the park has been looking to expand it as well)

Actaully RollerNut is out of theories and at this point doesn't give a **** what Carowinds is getting in 06, or this thing is about.

Call your woman Roller. You need to go get some sugar or something from her cause you are in a nasty mood this evening. You could always call Rosy.

No, she poked a pin hole in me, but my friends patched me up.

One thing is sure, I just got to love Coasterbruh's jokes.

Foreseer wrote: back on topic....somewhat.

Is anyone going to the press announcement on the 25th or will it just come out in the news?

Thats the same thing I asked in the other thread lol lol. Looks like PKI's is gonna be an actual event because on pkicentral I saw a thread asking who was attending...
