^^ I actually drew that two summers ago before Borg was confirmed, when all of the rumors were flying, and before the boat was gone of course. :P Here was another of my little ideas:

No silence, just made my opinion and had nothing further to say.

Just wanted to see you guys defend a coaster thats not even built yet.

The only reason i say it sucks is because every woodie i have ridden with steel supports has been the worst ever.

Don't get me wrong the coaster looks awsome and it, Raven & Legend is whats getting me up there next year. Just makeing fun of the park for going the cheap way with the ride and not putting the time and effort they did into Legend & Raven.

I just don't think this will be a top 5 woodie like some people are claiming.

The cheap way, I dont think they went the "cheap" route. That realized it would be a great hassle to one, handle that height with out having s structure like SoB and 2, its easier on the miantance dept to keep it running good. Show me a straight up wooden coaster than can handle a 90 degree angle turn and I'll show you a company who is about to have trouble on their hands. And its funny you say you want to see us defend a coaster thats not even built yet but in the same breath your insulting a coaster thats not even built yet....

sometimes its best to just sit back and ride the waves man...

Just out of curiousity...what steel structured coasters have you been on?

this just in...
And something else that bothers me..."Just makeing fun of the park for going the cheap way with the ride and not putting the time and effort they did into Legend & Raven." I'm sorry but that's pretty immature right there. A park does what it wants to and can afford. Making fun of a park because of a decision that they made and made in good faith is pretty lame.

I remember two years ago a certain park got lambasted for installing a used Vekoma....

Please refer to my previous post in the Holiday World about wooden coasters with steel supports. As I have stated that if Hades (Gravity's first) is any indication of what is to came than I am sure The Voyage will be worth the trip itself, but again only time will tell.

I just can't believe that here we are in July and there are no orange markings or orange flags anywhere to be seen.

Imagine them not teasing us.

Maybe there's paint in the wavepool?

Theres the answer right there, your basing your "theory" off of 2 poorly maintian coasters. I know its a matter of opinions but you shouldnt generalize ALL wooden/steel coasters after only riding 2 of them...

Thats just like me generalizing all the park employees after having only two encounters with them and those two just so happen to be bad....

I've rode Cheetah at Wild Adventures, and except for the turnaround, it, as I remember it being, wasn't too bad of a ride.

Actually that did relate to the topic. Read a few replies up and you will see that we were discussing woodies with steel supports. He was defending the fact that not all steel-supported woodies are bad. Always helpful to read the thread before you attack someone with sarcasm...

First off the topic is "Official 2006 Speculation Thread" not personal opinions of coaster building techniques.
Read a few replies up and you will see that we were discussing woodies with steel supports.

2nd off I'll come off with as much sarcasm as I dang well feel like. With the way some of you think and then reading some of your comments I see where I was no more sarcastic then anyone else. Ohh, and I do read maybe you should try it.

So, for the Official 2006 Speculation Thread I speculate a lot of unhappy campers no matter what CBS / Paramount does. For me, I'll continue buying season passes and enjoy the perks I get from having a thrill park so close to me that I can go anytime I want without taking a vacation to get there.
