I thought this was kind of neat.

I was looking around trying to find the snow pics of Borg's construction and ran across this on PC's site.

I thought it looked old, then I realized that the monorail could be seen!

The skytower is painted somewhat different, and something looks different over where the Queen used to run. I can't figure out what it is.

Also that one must have been taken the 1st year of Drop Zone. Funny looking at the unfinished grounds. lol

Also, Vortex kind of looks <span style='color:orange'>ORANGE </span>in this pic. lol

I like that old Frenzoid picture. I think it captures what the atmosphere of the park was like back then. You can see a huge line for White Water Falls, and the slides on Smurf Island are visible too.

There is also an old picture of the Paladium. I think it's from '91 or '92, because Wayne's World hasn't been built yet, plus the Paramount's Carowinds floral sign isn't in the grass area next to the entrance road, so it must have been pre-Paramount.

Also, if you look closely, Hurler's land is just being cleared, and Cyclone is still in its old color scheme

I used to have a flyer they had sent out about the coaster and it's layout with a nice artist rendering on it.

I wish I'd have kept it now.

I bought a little air tight plastic box for all my park maps and such now. And I keep them out of the sunlight. It's fun to go back and look at old park maps.

Anyone remember the annoying commercial for Frenzoid?

By the end of that summer I was so sick of hearing that girl scream. lol

I wonder if the park still has video of all their old commericals? I'd love to see some of the older ones.

i never saw the one for frenzoid. I remember the hurler one really really well tho that was like the best advertisement they made...i was really young then to like 12 or so. Well if anyone can find this commercial or the frenzoid one id love to see it! i wish i would have saved parkmaps from way back when i have some from 99 to 04 and all of the scarowinds maps as well. B)

That'd be awesome. What they showed last year was cool, but I'd love to see some of the older commercials.

Well, it is an ACE event (americian coaster enthusiasts club) event which ace members go to carowinds for C3 (Carolinia Coaster Classic) Filled with a lunch and special activitys and one member can bring one guest. <a href='http://www.aceonline.org/' target='_blank'>ACE Link</a> it takes 50$ to become a member.
