No sooner than August, no later than February. Carowinds will NOT get anything Nick. If Carowinds sees another coaster, than it will surprise me. The County Fair, Thrill Zone, and the Waterpark needs makeovers.

I have now heard that the 2006 attraction will be announced in mid-August.

The Charlotte Observer should have the Winterfest article this morning (Monday, July 25).

And that is exactly what scott mention during the construction tour earlier this season, the park is focusing more on revamping older, somewhat warn down areas of the park in times to come, so if anything new comes in the park im sure it would be in one of those areas, including the carolina RFD, which is the last remaining area from the carowinds era...

If there is a thrill zone coaster coming, why haven't we seen any construction or footers or preparation yet??

Flight of Fear i wouldnt mind getting a clone of...hopefully a different theme, but it's an awesome coaster. And it's launched, something that i dont think is in paramount's dictionary.

I would say that launched coasters are not in Carowinds' vocabulary, but they are in paramount's.
