Maybe I just thought it was smooth because I know where the jerks are and I could brace for them.

I rode the cyclone with dukefanswimmer in the front row today. My head didn't get banged once. :D

^^That's probably why. after the 6th ride i found out where the jerks and unsmooth spots are, and i've learned what to do in those spots.

I'm still having trouble with those d@mn Larson Firebals though, that's as bad as hurler but it has shoulder restraints... OUCH.

Last time I visited Carowinds, I almost blacked out 3 times while riding Cyclone. My roommate and I rode in the next to last car. And in the first loop my roommate and I both noticed we came close to blacking out.

The Cyclone was running like a demon that day. It was absolutely exciting!

yeah my eyes always start to blacken out a bit during the loops on Cyclone

and if im in the back on TG, on the immelman too.....

also if you sit in the back of hurler (ouch!) on the first bunnyhill....

the front is not bad at all on cyclone, I haven't ridden the back in years...

^Yeah, yesterday, I couldn't see anything at all when we hit the brakes because my vision blacked out. It was freaky.

The same thing happens to me between vortex's loop and corkscrew. This happens on TG's immelman too, and sometimes at the bottom of the batwing.

I'm not sure but I think this happens because the g-forces cause blood to drain out of your eyes...? somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Vortex............blackout............not a chance

Interesting how coasterbruh thinks blackouts can't happen... :P

That's really weird. I feel more G's when I sit in the front of Cyclone, not the back. Cyclone can't pull that many G's that would cause you to black out.

I've personally never had a bad ride on Cyclone. There are 3 Arrow loopers that I feel are fairly smooth. Well, 2 fairly smooth, one ultra smooth:

Carolina Cyclone-fairly smooth
Canyon Blaster-fairly smooth
Tennessee Tornado-Ultra smooth

Having said that, I do like Arrow, and love Viper @ SFMM and loved Shockwave @ SFGAm. Some people complain about X, but I rode on the outside front seat 2 times in a row, and had no problems with roughness. It was a mind altering experience.
