I have a question i would like to bring up.

Now that carowinds is under CBS and does not answer to Paramount anymore does this mean everything Paramount will be gone by opening next year? All signs?

If so i'm intrested to see the new park logo and a new sign out by the road. If not 2006 i would think everything Paramout would have to be gone by 2007.

Just intrested on what everyone thinks.

Why does it matter, isn't it all under viacom anyways?

What a very descriptive topic name... ;)

^Mainly posting to bring up the 2nd point...

I was just curious if all Paramount signs would have to be removed or will the name stay Paramount's Carowinds?

I guess i'll find out soon enough.

well...i dont think they are going to spend money un-theming nick central after all the work. It will still be paramount's carowinds, it's under the same company, just a different branch sort of.

They can take the Paramount name off everything and still have Nick Central.

Here is what I think will happen-

I think the smart thing to do is to still keep it Paramount. But have CBS as the "owner" of Paramount. So it would still be Paramount Parks but instead of "A Viacom Company" it would be "A CBS Company". This way all the rebranding will not be as dinamic. But who knows I could be wrong.

It's still 'Paramount Parks'

it just reports to a different management team, and that is CBS

i don't think it'll affect it, except for that tiny lettering under the Paramount Parks heading, that reads 'Viacom,' now it'll read 'A CBS Company...'

Oh ok, I thought the park would have to go through a major re-branding. Thats good then. It would still be nice to see a new sign by the road though.

I thought the same thing a few weeks back. I just wasn't sure if CBS wanted thier name all over the place.

If anything changes, it will be Paramount's Carowinds, A CBS Company instead of A Viacom Company.
