The ride will be missed. Al it needed was some new restraints and a little TLC and it would have been fine.

It would have help to move it to another location in the park to be more visable but alas it's too late for that.

Maybe later they will put it back in since their keeping the ride. Frenzoid's new home will be the graveyard for a while.

I would hardly call being held upside down high up in the air boring.

Frenzoid is sort of a fallen giant at the park so to speak. 15 years ago, I would go as far as to say that it was more popular than the roller coasters. I can remember the line wrapping around the pond when I was younger.

Frenzoid also seemed to have built up it's own little following among the GP, sort of like White Lightnin' to a lesser extent. I've been asked several times if I've ever rode "That big pirate ship that flips upside down at Carowinds".

It's always sad to see a ride go, even if nobody really cares about it anymore.

I don't know if its just a coincedence (sp?)

but:

Looping Starship SFOG - taken down w/o warning
Frenzoid - taken down w/o warning

i guess the park thinks these rides worthless enough to not inform the public...

after not riding it for years, i began riding it this season again. I absolutely loved riding it, and its a shame we lose yet another flat....what does this mean? Boomerang Bay or Country Fair for sure next year....

and: obviously the park has made some kind of decision

should we except an announcement soon?

yet frenzoid is going bye-bye... wouldn't this mean BB is not in next yr.'s future, or at least a lot less likely?

why would I listen to a message board that YOU frequent about news of that caliber. They know just as much as you do...and thats NOTHING! If that was the case why would PKD go all out for a ride that will be gone 8 years after it open?
