General Carowinds discussion

Hey Guys,

I emailed officials at Carowinds from their website about Scarowinds and the 2006 attraction. I got a short but sweet response that the Scarowinds website will be up and running soon but the announcement for the 2006 attraction would not be until 2006?!! I know we have to wait for as long as it takes but if I have to wait until after January to learn what the 2006 attraction is, man that's gonna suck!!

Yeah, we will know before then. I wouldn't be surprised if some people already know. Carowinds will drop hints soon enough hopefully.

Maybe they told you that to simply keep Rollernut and anyone else from bugging them about the 2006 attraction.

I mean really. What difference does it make when we find out?

If we find out now then we have to sit here and wonder how it will look for another 6 months before the park opens up in March.

I get tired of all the whining that goes on about the park's announcements.

They have to get the all-clear from CBS before they can tell us anything. Do you honestly think they are going to send you anything in an email? lol

Actually they don't, if you look at Carowinds.com, annoucements are still being made. CBS has nothing to do with it. It depends on when Carowinds gets the annoucement ready, if they didn't have permission, then the Frenzoid would still be running. DUH!

I guess you weren't at C3?

If not, then Scott the head of PR at Carowinds said that all decisions are now made by CBS as to what the park gets the following year.

CBS is now their boss. The park does not have the power to make those types of decisions.

I swear bgwfreak, why don't you build your own website where you can totally monitor all the forum posts and only discuss topics of your choosing where you seem to know it all!!!!

What? Everybody that was at C3 knows about everything he's said in this thread.

"It depends on when Carowinds gets the annoucement ready, if they didn't have permission, then the Frenzoid would still be running."

Carowinds knows what they are getting, they weren't just told "remove that ride over there and we will tell you what to put in it's place later." Use your brains, it takes atleast a year to plan a new ride/attraction.

now your confusing me...you say it take atleast a year to plan but you said in a previous post that you can fix the park in like 2 years and you also stated that it doesnt take that long to plan stuff...hummm

Im starting to wonder who is really talking outta their **bleep**holes...

So it seems that Thunderfan seems to know the inner workings of a CBS controled company. If you had decided to attend C3 Thunder than you would have had the pleasure of hearing what Mr. Anderson said about the Attraction coming in 2006. And you would also have heard he state that the Park, itself, answers to CBS Corp. and at the current time, they had no real confirmed idea of what the park was getting. He did mention that they had two strong ideas of what they might get. No cast iron decision had been made from the Higher ups (Let me help your brain and tell you the higher ups was refering to CBS Corp.) But you where not at C3 so maybe it is you that should use your brain.

Now before you say to me why did they take a flat out if they do not know. Well break out your calendar and put your finger on the date that C3 took place. Now since you are in college, I take it that you do know how to count. I want you to count from that day till you used your cat like photo skills to take pics of the Flat that is being took down. It good to say that they now know what is coming to the park next year, so hence the reply to the 'What are you guys getting next year e-mail' from a coaster nut about an announcement coming in 2006.

So maybe in the future (as in your next post) there Thunderfan, you need to step back and maybe relax or enlight us all on how the Parks decide what they are getting each year. I am sure it would and will be an interesting read.

All I know is I want some front row tickets for this *** kicking I am hearing about.
