Now that frenzoid is being taken out, mabye that is a good sign that we will get something good instead of more kiddie stuff. gotta enough of that I think.

Care to define 'kiddie stuff?'

When will people realize that Carowinds is not Six Flags, and they should BE THANKFUL for that fact! I would much rather an excellent assortment of family attractions, rather than some boring parking lot coaster every other year.

Also the park does not cater to us (enthusiasts I mean). Waterparks are one of the major draws these days, and I'd say WaterWorks in its current state I'd pretty outdated. I really hope that is what we get (also so that the BB rumors can finally STOP!)

All I have to say is good things come to those who wait... even if it is for an extremely long amount of time..

Jon, can we ban anyone that complains about next year? I have a feeling there will be a few dissapointed folks.. :(

Well, I for one won't be dissapointed. I've gone thru a few changes since I first joined this board and over the last several years I have learned to enjoy the parks and all they offer other than who has the best coasters.

I'd be perfectly happy and will actually welcome a B.B. when ever it happens. That would give me a reason to go back into the water.

Most people were also upset at all the "kiddie" stuff they did last year but who here actually complains about it now?

We all kind of know that they rotate attractions between thrills and family, so to speak, but hey, anything new is something new. That's more than alot of parks do around this country.

Yea, she'd go nuts. She begs me every year to go and I only make it maybe once.

She made up for it at C3 without me. :P

I'm not really sure how to respond to that asinine comment....... so I guess I won't....

Let's face it. The waterpark is due to expand. It makes logical sense to go ahead and get it done and going in the direction of Frenzoid makes even more sense.

Look at all this wasted land they could use for the waterpark! They could even include the White Water Falls location if they remove or relocate it.

Personally, I wish they would expand the lazy river so it would accomodate more people. It's hard to get a tube somedays. ;)

Yeah I think Boomerang Bay is inevitable and it would make sense with the removal of Frenzoid *cough*Sea Dragon*cough*

If they do that then it's out of the way and maybe we WILL get that hyper for the 35 Anniversary. :)

If they built a good *cough*B&M*cough* hyper, they wouldn't have to build another coaster for a while and I'd be happy.

14th coaster at Carowinds? Hard to believe we are getting up not too far from CP and SFMM. :D

First of all, I have nothing against any kind of ride as long as it is fun, When I say kiddie rides, I mean there just seems to be alot more smaller rides being put in over the years, with the exception of borg of course.
I just would really love to see a major thrill ride in the park. I feel that the park is in need of one. and it would be great to have one in the park.
I have not been able to ride the flyers yet, I hope to ride them next year as i will be back in south carolina at that time. when i went to carowinds last year, I had family with me and we was not able to get around to the flyers. I wish I would have rode them though, they sound sweet.
but back to 2006, I hope that it is a thrill ride. but whatever it is, in the end, I will still be looking foward to checking it out, what ever it is.
p.s. the borg still freaks me out everytime. LOL. it is the way the shoulder harness is. it is so creepy. but still a kick butt ride.

He needs to ride Zoombabwe at Holiday World sometimes! I love that slide. I thought that we were going to flip over over several times going down it.

Maybe if they do redo the waterpark, they'll add one of those toilet bowl slides. I mean its only appropriate since the park has become a cess pool since adding a used Vekoma Flyer ;-)

Even though there is a bunch of land back there, it would be very hard to utilize for the water park. When I was checkin out construction on labor day weekend, I noticed the purple slide (I think its called the Abyss) is in the way for any water park expansion in the direction of frenzoid. Unless the connecting pathway to the expansion goes through WWF, or if WWF/Abyss meets it's maker...which I seriously doubt will happen...I think were gonna see a flat ride next year.

Why B&M? SFOG already has B&M taken...

What so bad about borg? I'm sure many parks would love to have it.

Good thing you didn't spend any time looking for them then.....

They didn't install the Flyers at Carowinds until this year.
