im interested to see how this fairs on CC.....

I vote intamin for a few reasons...
1. SFOG is getting a B&M, so to be unique we ought to too...
2. B&M's are becoming less forceful, and their risk taking is becoming minimal...
3. Intamin built two of the best ranked coasters - S:ros SFNE and MF at CP..
4. Carowinds needs an Intamin coaster!

Ok, I voted for Intamin.

Why, you ask? Simple, their name reminds me of a great cake / desert company.

Makes me hungry. Oh, me so hungry!!

I am gonna have to go with B&M on this one. Two of my favorite steel coasters ever are Raging Bull and Apollo's Chariot.

And I don't know about that comment saying B&M's are becoming less forceful. That helix turnaround on Goliath looks like it's gonna be nasty (in a very good way). And Goliath is gonna be more about lots of air, which is a trademark of a hyper, not a lot of positive g's anyway.

idk.. it's hard to tell about goliath

the helix looks awesome
not to mention the fact that a quality hyper will be < 4 hours away!

not sure about 'all' the airtime though, it looks a little slow on the top of some of those hills (on the POV footage... ) but it might just be the simulator!

i mean, B&M has made some awesome rides... but to have something like S:ROS or Expedition Geforce (should've put it instead of MF upthere...) would be world class....

this has been debated so much.. should u go with a more classic, less forceful approach or the innovator? I go for the innovator....

I wouldn't mind either B&M or Intamin although i would prefer B&M imo. Anything but Morgan please.

Xcelerator>Millennium Force>Raging Bull>S:ROS (SFDL)

I'm mainly in the 'anyone but Togo' camp, but Intamin is preferred. I do need to ride AC though...

I'm for B&M because based on what ive ridin, not much B&M is by far the best. The problem is iv'e never riden a intamen so i woulden't know how it feels...

^ simon, u've ridden an intamin ride, just not a coaster....

take drop zone or white water falls as examples....

I'm mainly in the 'anyone but Togo' camp...

yeah, manhatten express was my first hyper... but it gets to be a little rough, not to mention all the annoying trims....

i enjoyed it though, but man is it expensive... 12.50 a ride!

A ride on Swamp Fox is almost 5 dollars. You fiqure Carowinds general admission is about $45, and has 42 rides. On a normal day lets say 2 rides are close, and we aren't going to include the kiddy rides and waterpark rides. Bringing the ride count to 27. You fiqure $45 for 27 equals $1.66 per ride including the roller coasters. So therefore going to New York New York, or an "amusement" park that has ride tickets is a rip-off.

they generally are more expensive per ride. But you need to adjust your calculations, while there may be over 20 rides open, the chances of getting on ALL of them is unlikely, i'd say average 10-15 rides if you stay most of the day. Granted that is still cheaper than $5 per ride, but you can also get unlimited day passes at most of those pay-per-ride places for $25-$30 or so. So it works out in the end unless you just want a ride or two
