Well let's just assume it is Boomerang Bay...

I personally would like to see one of the Tornado huge funnel things that all the Six Flags have been adding lately and SFKK added this year (in the middle of a non-waterpark no less). lol

I don't want anything that's tall and fast. Fast in the water is just painful to me. I avoid those speed slides at all costs.

I would however like to see a raft ride like PTL used to have where it was like you were in the mountains and going from pool to pool all while dropping in elevation.

It was nice looking and fun too.

Four words...Whitewater...Spinning...Rapids...Ride! That ride is like one of the best waterslide type rides out there (in my opinion)! Where else can you get several moments of air time all while spinning down a water channel? Wanna see...HERE ya go!!

That was always my favorite too! It was the perfect water ride in my opinion - calm parts where you just float, then a fun slide, then another calm part, then another slide!

I would love to see one of those spinning whitewater rides as well. The one at Six Flags America was an absolute blast!

Ditto to the comments on that slide at Heritage. That was always my favorite as well.

I have not ridden one of those yet but it looks like a lot of fun. From your video it appears to be a water ride that you could wear regular clothes on instead of a swimsuit.

What causes it to spin? Is there some mechanical device that does it?

Yeah, it's more or less a dry ride; I did not get very wet on the one at Six Flags America. The rafts are spinning freely; I'm not sure what causes them to spin so fast, but it is actually really intense!

Off to Dollywood... Hopefully I won't come back Sunday night to find that armageddon has taken place on the forums...

^I think the fact that the channel is basically flat on the bottom when it hits the turns they have no choice but to spinn!

The latest update...

Things are still going slowwwwwwwwwwwwww on the official press release...BUT!

A widdle birdie told me that there will be signs and such up around the park letting the cat out of the bag. I wasn't told where they will be but quote/unquote "it'll be like a scavengar hunt for whomever is here looking for them."

So, anybody going tomorrow/this weekend...keep your eyes open!

Be a nerd and take a camera!

(The official Scarowinds press release will be out Monday.)

Well, its good to go ahead and start getting the word out!

The 2006 product is approved. The issue here is the approval of the press announcement. I really don't think its "stupid." We should be glad that we're getting any info period!

Look at PKD...there's already info out about IJST and it hasn't been "officially" announced yet.

Hype and buzz is the key words here.

Ok True, There were signs last year about a Bigger & Better Nick before a announcement.

Forgot about that.

It's actually pretty funny that the pak is makeing everyone look around to find out what next years attraction is.

How would that be a good thing for sales though? If it is such a major ride would it not sell more season passes for next year if they just told us? I wish you guys luck I will not be seeing the park again this year. Do share what you find though.

By us do you mean us as in the coaster community or us as the general public because the general public is more concern w/ special rates for the season pass moreless what the park is getting next year. By what they are doing isnt slowing down season passes at all because the special 2 @ 49.99 is what is selling the passes. Regardless what is announced for next year the people are still gonna buy passes. Now tomorrow when a typical person is walking in the park isn't gonna say "lets buy a pass because the park is expanding the waterpark" but more like "Lets buy a pass since they are soo cheap right now, and did you hear that the park is getting a new waterpark". I have learn that the general public doesnt care about if a park adds something but are more in tuned if A park doesnt add something. As long as something "new" keeps comming to carowinds the passes are gonna sell, regardless of when the people hear about it. Now the only thing the press release is holding up is the exposure the media gives it but again, I highly doubt thats gonna effect season pass sales!

Thats just my take on it!
