^ LOL maybe you forgot just how cold the water was at past Waterpark ERT events. I remember a few years ago my friend and I got in and rode everything multiple times, but the water was like ICE!

it wasn't too bad this past april...

guess it all depends on the weather... i'll still do it, its nice to have the whole waterpark to a really small number of guests...

I highly first phase BB was basically the equivelant to riptide reef when it open (minus the wave pool), and needless to say their phase 2 which happen this year is kinda similar to when RR converted to WW. I can see BB being more on the scale of PKI being that they are the exact same size as far as acerage.

well i am not surprised at all to see them expland the waterpark it did make perfect sense to do it since frenzoid was located in the perfect spot. I wish they would just relocate frenzoid cause i actually like riding it....if its ever opened. So does anyone know what slides and attractions they will add im hoping master blaster thats what the forums at carowinds zone states....

Actually, RollerNut is still the founder but right now He is working on the site but by Next season He should be to busy and I am to take over. Hopefully.

I'm happy were getting BB. Finally a much needed expansion & makeover of the waterpark. Oh and more slides of course.

I always thought our slide selection was pretty lame until PP came in.

The keyword is hopefully, and "next season" for Carowinds Zone is April 2nd. By the way, the rumors aren't all mine like you suggest. :angry:

We may get some of the newer slides but, personally speaking, I don't see Carowinds puting in a water coaster. As much as I would love to ride one at Carowinds I don't think it goes with the BB cloneage.

I was just looking at the park via Google Earth and there is a ton of empty / unused space. I wonder if the mini-golf will go bye-bye also.

I doubt it, there isn't much they can put there that I can think of. My question is will Splash Factory be removed, rebuilt(expanded) or just rethemed(mainly repainted)? Also, the Abyss is the oldest slide in the waterpark so I think it will stay unless it is in the way. Wipeout! needs to be removed.

The reason no one ever plays Mini Golf is because its beyond repair.. kind of like what "Flight Commander" was for a period of years.

Anyway I could EASILY see them ripping out mini golf and 'wrapping' around WWF, thus
including WWF within the expansion. the queue could be redone as well as a new name and theme, perhaps bring more ridership to a much needed attraction. I can also see the county fair side getting a Boomerang Bay enterance gate so maybe it (both County Fair AND the waterpark..) won't feel like such a 'dead end'.

Here's the area I see being expanded into. Yellow is Waterworks, Orange is Boomerang Bay..
