I am sorry but where is all of Carowinds' profits going these days? The only department that is wishing out money is Maintaince. I bet you, that the new slides came from PKD's waterpark.

I'm sure it did. PKD took out some small family slides to make room for IJ.

You know what this tiny expansion means. Boomerang Bay Phase II in 2007.

they realize, why spend tons of money on a waterpark if the GP are going to come anyways (look at waterworks this summer!!!!)


rather, they'll spend it on a big ticket item, like TG was, to bring in a ton of ppl and push the attendance way up, esp. from regional areas an hour or more away from charlotte...

still think it won't be BB 2 until 2008 at the earliest, if not pushed way back..

it'll be coaster next year...., oh and my guess is that they will add a gate to country fair... then CF won't be a big deadend anymore...

my point was that the park has worked on an area for more then one year in a row... most notably that area....

it doubt a BB2 next year though....

Basically all were getting new is the lagoon. I really believe the slide(s) are from PKD.

I do however love the new themeing. I think it will look awesome once completed.

If that is indeed all were getting then i expect a BB phase II.

Well. What can you say? How do you feel?

I won't say much other than I am very dissapointed that we aren't getting, what most of us consider, any new style slides. ( <a href='http://www.carowindsconnection.com/community/index.php?showtopic=1095&st=240' target='_blank'>See Coastebruh's Pictures</a> ) The reason I don't go into the waterpark now is the LONG SLOW moving lines and the same old slides everyone else has.

3 New attractions, 0-3 feet heated pool, 100 foot kiddie slide, Pub. Same ole everything else. Decor is nice but it's like painting a car, It's still the same car.

I know we all fussed about the Nick area, minus the Flyers, but I think they did a great job over there. Time will only tell what our 25% larger waterpark will turn out to be.

For those of you who think Carowinds is saving up for something big you might want to go get a reality check. As for County Fair, it keeps getting smaller and smaller and if not for Thunder Road why else would you go there now? To play the awesome games they have? I think not.

I am still glad and happy they are re-doing the waterpark as it was needed but I am praying they don't make it a 2 year adventure. Mainly I am just happy to get it over with.

The park does look newer each year and attendance keeps going up so hopefully this addition will boost that even more.

I'll just sit back and watch it unfold.
