Encontrer...they have a beer and wine license. A liquor license is a whole nother ball park - to the tune of several thousand dollars a year.

Yes, I think you are, considering most people here aren't old enough to drink.

But there are still several adults in here over the age of 21 to which my question was directed.

For those not of age - remember kids, alcohol is a very bad thing....until you turn 21, which then, the gov't tells us it's fine!

Sorry for the double post...but...

The new slides aren't from PKD. They're new ones.

Oh yeah...there are more capital improvements/investments yet to come....let the speculation begin.

Okay, I'll be nice...which usually happens about every 28 days...it means they're not through spending money for 2006.

Dang roller...you almost had me voting for you for president a few weeks ago with all the talk about taking over carowinds and turning things around but to not know what capital improvements are makes me think your head is as hollow as the supports are on top gun!

Oh roller sit down let me explain some stuff to ya...ever notice how each year you see the park is either adds more benches or for example the new sit down area in the middle of county fair or perhaps how more and more flowers and shrubs are sprouting around the park and new shops and food places like happy days and cinnabon...well those are capital improvements. Not anything major, but makes the park look and feel better.

Man roller you should consider being a pimp because you talk a good game... ;)

As seen on Thrillnetwork:

What have we got since 2001? A bunch of rethemes.. (how are any of you surprised/shocked/dissapointed.. seriously)

2001 - Plantation Square into Paramount Plaza (new rides: Pipeline Peak, Scooby Doo)
2002 - Blue Ridge Junction into Carolina Boardwalk (new rides: Ricochet)
2003 - Old World Marketplace into Nick Central (new rides: Rugrats Runaway Reptar)
2004 - Smurf Island into 'Borg Island' (new rides: Borg Assimilator)
2005 - Zoom Zone and Animation Station into Nick Central (new rides: Flyers, Flying Dutchman, Little Bill)
2006 - Waterworks into Boomerang Bay (new rides: Platypus Plunge, Kookaburra Bay)

Since 2000 Carowinds isn't about adding a ton of rides, its about adding perhaps one anchor ride and retheming others and the space around it. I am quite looking foward to the opening of Boomerang Bay. I doubt it will make me visit the waterpark more often (usually only once a year) But I'm sure they will do an EXCELLENT job as they had with all the past rethemes, and I can't wait to see what they will do. Most importantly, "Joe ParkGuest" will eat it up. I wish enthusiasts would stop being so damn selfish.

I don't know why any of you were surprised, I told you all not to get your hopes up, yet everyone still did. The Proslide Tornado and other 'anchor' waterpark attractions will come, in time.

Look at it this way, before 2010 we will at least get a retheme of County Fair and 'Thrill Zone.' Both of those area look pretty sad when compared to the rest with all the shiny new attractions. Carolina RFD definitely won't be (but they are making in season changes as I will post about later) and I don't see anything happening to Carolina Showplace either (standalone at least, I could see it being clumped into Carolina Boardwalk/Thrill Zone).

I think everyone is dissapointed becuase with all those oher re-themes we got something or a few new attraction to get excited about. Whats exciteing about a tiny family slide (which we already had). I love the heated lagoon though.

I'm a little dissapointed but now i'm not because i know BB2 is right around the corner.

I'm sure the new aterpark will look awesome and i plan on following the construction since i'll be at the park until New Years.

I don't think BB2 will come in 2007, if ever IMO.

I'm surprised by the lack of new rides.

Hopefully that means they are saving up for your hyper next year! :D
