Hate to bump such an old thread, but there are some interesting photos from inside Ghost Town up at tommyandjames.net.

I'm surprised to see that the Red Devil can still operate; unfortunately, I don't hold much hope for it ever opening again.

Wow! I thought the park would be in a lot worse shape than it is. There maybe hope for this park. The pics were great and great video on the Red Devil.

Scott & I talked with Tommy at CCC last month. Him and James were actually interested in buying the old Ghost Town. But, the old man got the best of them. It was pretty interesting to hear the story. Excellent photos though. I am surprised the park still looks that good after being closed for so long. It's obviously still being maintained.

Wow, looks like a mess to me. I would hate to try to reopen that park.

Wow I hope the guy sells it soon.

Bummer I never got my credit. lol

I was coming back from Dollywood one year and I called my friend and he said no don't bother it's stupid. Now I wish I had.

I really hope someone buys it soon. Maggie Valley is dieing without it.

I also had no idea the Red Devil could still operate. I guess they are trying keep up the park until a buyer is found.

The park is in descent shape considering all the factors and lack of funds being pumped into the park the last few years it was around. It could easily be salvaged and brought back better than ever.

The Silver Bullet info was interesting, and I don't remember the monster ride.

The walkway damage was creepy. Just think if the park was still open.

They were there writing a story. It's not like they let people up there to ride it whenever they want.

When I was last there in 1992, you could see some Silver Bullet track near where the Red Devil lift hill started. I remember thinking, "That looks like an old coaster" but I had no clue what it was. Now I know!

^^ Also, it doesn't appear that they actually rode it.

I always thought this would be a great park for Theme Parks LLC to take over, since they did such a good job bringing Magic Springs back from the dead.
