I am a bit of a metal head, and i really like that metal instrumental they play during the video and wait, i was wondering if anyone knew the original song, or if it was made specifically by Action FX for the theaters? I'd really like to download this somewhere, it's really good for being strictly instrumental.

sorry, i meant the one they used to have last season with days of thunder and the previous seasons with the actual action fx ones.

You might want to find out who produced the intro. I know what you are talking about and it was kind of catchy.
Good luck trying to download it but you'd probably have to find the makers and visit thier web site.

^ thats what i'm working towards. I dont have a clue who did it, so i'm trying to find out. I'll let you guys know if i can find it, if anyone has any ideas, feel free to let me know

Have you tried looking at the Days of Thunder Soundtrack? If it was for that Video Montage, then perhaps it was music from the movie.

I always like that cheesy intro, especially that guitar parts near the end. Those are loud enough to hear elsewhere in County Fair well away from the theater, and I always get a kick out of hearing that when passing by.

As far as who did the music, a good place to start would be the company that made the ride:

It wouldn't hurt to send an email to them and see if you get anything. I wouldn't get my hopes up, but it couldn't hurt.

you should try contacting the media department at the park. I know one year at scarowinds they had some music i liked and i just called the media people and they were able to tell me what music they used.

Back in the days when I worked at Carowinds I hated that song. I worked in County Fair games as a manager for a couple years and about every couple minutes you could hear the guitar rift. It used to drive me nuts! Everyday, all day, for two seasons...

Yeah, I can imagine hearing that *constantly* would be rough - occasionally though it was pretty cool.

When we went to Scarowinds Friday both sides had introductions specific to their movies, instead of having the generic "Turbo Tour" one on the right side so I missed out on hearing that music for the entire season - maybe next year. Luckily we missed the one for Fun House (which was a BAD movie, I'm guessing the intro was as well) as the doors were opening right as we walked up. Elvira's Superstition was down initially, but was up later - and was a FAR, FAR better movie than Fun House and just as much fun as I remember from previous years.

Yea, the one that always played with the "Turbo Tour" intro video while you were waiting, that did the whole "countdown" thing.
