Yup...that's right. Heard it myself direct from a park employee who gave the answer as if she had given it 50 times that day.

I ask you.

What's the point? If I want to see a million lights without coasters, I will just drive to Pigeon Forge and look at them for free.

That is not true, I asked Scott awhile back, and he said "Kiddy rides, and family rides plus the Scrambler".

And the Scrambler is going to have "Snow Effects".

I'll admit, I wish a few coasters were open, but there is going to be a lot of other Christmas related things to do, so it's cool with me.

I guess that's true...still, it's kind of lame of the park. The rides would still be operating with very safe temperatures.

From the website (always helpful to look there first).

What rides will be open for Winterfest?
A number of the children’s rides in Nickelodeon Central will open. In addition the Kaleidoscope will operate with added snow effects.

^ well I thought I knew O.J. Simpson and well...you get the picture lol lol. But anyway am I the only one who doesnt think it would make a big deal if it wasnt open. I think winterfest is gonna be great w/o it and its gonna be awesome with it (minus the roar but if the music is loud enough to drown it out then thats cool...

Jarvis you ain't alone.

True, it would be fun to keep riding the coasters and such year round but there is just something Un-Christmas like about about it.

To me the holidays are more of a heart warming time to enjoy with friends and families more than a time to let the adrenaline pump.

Without the coasters running I think they will have a better quest base that will enjoy what they are doing.

Plus, who wants to see puked up Turkey, Ham, cranberry sauce?
