^ i highly doubt it

the four eastern seaboard parks all seem to be making money (Carowinds as well, who has improved attendance big time in the past few years...)

i see the selling of individual parks more and more likely.. although ppl have already said it, i highly disagree that CF would want PKI... its just too much for one state.. and it would get plenty of money on the market

pga's just going to go.. its almost become like astroworld

I doubt it, but it is possible. What would happen to Carowinds Connection if that did happen?

Carowinds won't close. If CBS can't seel the parks as a chain then more than likely they will sell them off one by one.

I still feel that CF is very intrested.

IF...and I do mean IF, Carowinds was pieced out and sold individually or, if the entire chain got sold and the new owners (better known as NewCo ) decided to close it down, I do believe that it would cause such a media event around the Carolinas that somehow it would be bought locally.

With the history Carowinds has with the NC / SC people I would think some big group around here would but it. But, that's my 2 cents

Not likely:

"Santa Clara, which still owns the land, has a 50-year ground lease with Paramount and receives $5.3 million annually. The lease stipulates that an amusement park will be operated there and the ground lease and its restrictions would remain in effect even if the park's ownership changes, Sparacino said."

Ok, question if Paramount Parks decides to stop operating PGA, and relocate rides, can they relocate only the rides installed by Paramount Parks, Paramount/KECO, or Paramount/KECO/Mariott? I would think any rides installed by Mariott are owned by the city, so Paramount Parks has to get approval from the city to remove them. I am asking because you are the smart one.

If you read the excerpt, it says a park must be operated there as part of the agreement. I don't think the park is going anywhere so there is no need to move any rides.

Why don't we ask Dusty Rose, she seems to know everything.

Max, I found some great new bands she might like:

Oh, so I guess we can't wiggle our way out of PGA, and take the Boomerango slide with us. Darn.

I honestly don't see why they have let PGA slip like they have.

It used to be one of the parks that got all the good rides, now they get nothing. Sad.

1) Look at Google Earth. PGA has almost no room for new rides.

2) PGA dosen't need new rides. Attendence is increasing on its own. I'm sure paramount would give the park some love if attendence were to slide.

Companies like Six Flags install rides when they don't need to, and companies like Six Flags have $5 stock.

Not true, PGA's attendance has been slipping since Boomerang Bay opened.

Roller, please check facts before making statements like that! PGA's attendance was up 7.3 % last year. The reason for the increase is the expansion of Boomerang Bay.

I was told that it was slipping. Darn, maybe I should just stick to Carowinds. You would think my ex would have taught me to stay away from things I don't know nothing about.

Hey Cephas, you never mentioned that you go to MPHS. I didn't think that any other coaster nerds existed at this school, tbh........

Oh, and Steve says hi. :P
