I dont know if this has been posted before or not but i just remembered this....back in october at scarowinds i remember seeing some new figures in the action FX theatre. Of course they were covered up but the shape sorta resembled shrek ( the way the antennas come out). Does anyone remember seeing this as well or am i going crazy? Is there going to be a new action fx ride this year? I meant to post something about this sooner but i totally forgot.

No, there will not be a Shrek film in AFX. If you remember from SCarowinds, SpongeBob theming was gone. We will just have to wait and see because RollerNut ain't sure.

Cartoon Network is Hanna-Barbera.

grrr.. why can't we bring back Days of Thunder.. or Goldeneye 007 .. THOSE were great and entertaining FX rides.. they keep choosing rides that are based on cartoons and don't really pertain to teen-adult audiences. I believe that if they made something a little more "grown-up" there would be more riders.. and if all else fails.. turn it into an admission charging movie theater.. there's an idea for you

Days of Thunder returned in 2004, it didn't seem to be as popular as SpongeBob next door. It was good to see Days Of Thunder, even if it was for the summer. 75% of our visitors are season pass holders, I fiqure a 1:2 ratio, one adult, two kids, a 2:3 ratio, 2 adults, three kids. In short for our family crowd which I would say makes 45% of the season pass holders, so that is why we have cartoons in AFX. A child is 0-12, a teenager is 13-17, and an adult is 18+ in my book.

And now someone will come along and say "RollerNut,your wrong."

well i could understand them going with something that is popular at the time.. spongebob was great at the time of opening, then goldeneye was great.. but what the heck was up with that one with the test track?.. i liked it.. but it was like the virtual version of Autopia in Orlando ( which is a great ride.. no matter what anyone says ) .. but i havn't seen any of the hanna barbera toons on tv, in the stores.. or even heard them as household names in a LONG time..

i liked my movie theater idea.. sell the motion sims.. buy a projector.. and play new paramount movies and charge admission

I want them to bring back Goldeneye and 7th Portal. I can't remember Goldeneye that much, but I though 7th Portal was great.

Maybe they should show that old Star Trek cartoon! We could dress up like characters for opening day for it. RollerNut could be a Klingon. I think Alan Martin would be a great StarFleet Captain. I have a great idea for Janeway but I don't think he would like the idea very much. I could go as Captain Sulu. David Drake could be a tribble. We do need some Borgs hanging around.

^I shall be a Borg. I can assimilate people while riding BORG. (or goldrusher if BORG is broken) ;)
