Anyone seen the <a href='http://www.myrgroup.com/subsidiaries/subsidiaries_image.asp?id=145' target='_blank'>DENVER</a> airport? That would look pretty cool over the Pavilion in the winter. Then they could remove it during the warm months.

How do like them Apples RollerNut?

It would be expensive to do wouldn't it. Anything that would keep the park open sounds good to me.

By the way Chris, unless you are talking about something else. We don't know for sure that it will be done this summer. I imagine park officals don't want you releasing hints to people yet.

What hints did i give out. Nobody can guess what the new attraction is by my sig. Heck it could be anything from a concert to a Hyper.

The bigger question is does anyone care what Chris's sig means? Steer this baby back on track now.

I don't know if anyone cares, but I imagine they do. Just pay attention Opening Day to what has changed around the park.

Maybe you should start a topic about it then Roller. The last I looked this was a topic about the Pavilion not new things at Carowinds. I am sure alot of people care what will be at Carowinds this year. I might even care, but this is about the Pavilion.

Don't make me bust out the owls again.

Now, let's steer this baby back on track.

Has anyone signed the petition in SwampFox's sig? Maybe we could all go to the Pavilion one day this summer as a group.

^I've been checking the signature count daily on this petition and it has been growing at a promising rate. Last night when I checked they had 550 sigs. Less than 24 hours later, they now have 1192.
It's really picking up steam. I don't really think this will sway the evil B&C, but it can't hurt either.

Maybe the people who brought paramount parks almost a month ago can buy the pavilion since they are in the mood of buying parks! Speaking of the devil, how is that sale going chris...

Have not heard much lately. But this is a thread about the Pavilion not Carowinds so i won't say much.

MBP’s situation is amazingly similar to the "Opryland to Shopryland" fiasco.

Burroughs & Chapin needs to look at where Gaylord Entertainment went after Opryland closed. The company hardly broke even with it's mega-mall, and ended up selling out back in 2002 in order to make up for its losses.

In the end, GEnt. would actually be better off/wealthier today had it not closed the theme park to begin with.

I know comparing Opryland to the Pavilion is like comparing Apples to Oranges, but the similarities deserve some mention.

Hurricane can't run below 35 degrees nor can Thunderhead.

Dude, seriously, find out how many days total in the past 10 years it has been below 35 degrees in Myrtle.

I can name one day it was cold. I went to MB in Nov and it was 28 one night.

Actually I think most coasters CAN run in very cold temps.

Just go over to themeparkreview.com and see all the coasters the Alvey rode a month ago!!!

Now I didn't see any woodys, so maybe it's just steel ones that can.

Another article of interest pertaining to what should replace the MB Pavilion was in the March 24th Sun Times.

See it <a href='http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/mld/myrtlebeachonline/business/14175040.htm' target='_blank'>here!</a>
