Got up there today for some rides, and Hurler was running extremely well considering the temperatures. It looked like the remaining turns got some new wood to match the first turn, and the train tracked smoothly the entire eay around.
I'm really, really looking forward to some summer nighttime rides. This thing should be incredible if it stays this smooth, as it just won't lose much speed the entire way around. Very impressive considering how bad it was a few years ago when the season started - slow, rough, and jackhammering through every turn losing so much speed by the end it barely seemed to make it back to the station.
I also really like the new entrance - it'll make re-rides MUCH easier. I liked my first trip of the day through the old line, as you got to see the train fly by on the airtime hills, but that walk got old quick.
While I'll probably rarely ride the go-karts, it's good they're getting something else in the area to liven it up some. I wanted a Delerium, but something is better than bare asphalt.
Other things I noticed - the Subway is gone (building is still there) and Kaleidoscope got a new entrance. Thunder Road's entrance was modified, with the railing dividing the forward and backwards sides mostly removed. They also removed some of the fence at Top Gun's exit, so you can walk straight out without going towards the gift shop. Yeah, you could before by squeezing around the fence and the vendor cart there, but now it's easy.
