So I decided to head to the park and see if I could meet up with any of the CCers for ERT and flyer time.
I got to the park about 8:45ish and waited in line at the south gate to get in.
I didn't see anyone.
After we got in I headed to Top Gun and ran into Jay. We rode front row together and then for some reason he didn't ride when I did for the back row (same train had an empty seat after we came back).
After 2 or 3 TG rides I headed down to Thunder Road. It was down for some reason.
I headed over to Scooby's haunted mansion and after getting a score of 850 or so I ran into Jonathan and Jay.
After Scooby I saw that TR was back up and headed there. I saw Mark in line for backwards. Mark apparantley was bad on Saturday because it immediatley broke down on the lift hill. So Mark and company had to head over to forwards where I was.
I told you not to call me old Mark. lol
We rode the flyers once, and then when we were in line a 2nd time Jay got a call from his "cool friends" and he left us.
So after another flyer ride (Jayless) we headed to the current best woody at the park Hurler. Another great ride, then on to Drop Zone. Oh boy.
For the 2nd time in a row (that I had been in line for the ride over the past few weeks) they had some issues with the ride when I was almost about to get on . Jonathan and I waited it out and were actually sitting on the ride when they told us to get off and go back in line. After about 10-15 minutes Chris (Rollernut) told us we could ride (again).
After much harrasement by Chris from the booth (he was running the ride) we finally got to ride. (Bee-free I might add).
DZ has started to grow on my over the years and while it's certainly not my favorite drop tower, I do really like it.
That's about all for the visit. It started to get hot and crowded and Jonathan and I both headed for our respective air-conditioned cars.
