General Carowinds discussion

I've been coming to this site for a while now and I finally registered to post. I am planning on going to Carowinds this weekend and I haven't been in two years. I was wondering if coupons were still offered for buy 1 get one free tickets or a certain dollar amount off. I believe Wendy's and Coke used to do this, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Its been awhile since i have gotten a coupon. They are around. I just can't think of where they are at now. But, I know if you buy tickets online, you get them cheaper!

Try Bojangles. I think they might have some. They seem to always have coupons for the park. Of course, if you're an ACE member, you can get in for half off.

I think the current coupons are at Chik-fil-a, not sure what the deal is though.

According to their website (member services section), that is not true for this year (which is why i will have an actual season pass this year)

This will probably not be of any help to you, since the weekend is upon us, but I have plenty of discount coupons which give you $20.00 off the regular admission price, meaning $29.99. These current coupons are good through the last weekend in May. These are "retail appreciation" coupons that Carowinds sends to my office. More than likely, they will send me something different by mid-May which will carry well into the summer. Carowinds has been very good about sending discount coupons and I, in turn, try to do a good job handing them out. I hate to pay full price for just about anything...

Should ANY of you ever need some of these, don't hesitate to email me and I will drop some in the mail to you ~ I never distribute all that they send, and it is a crying :( shame to have to trash them because no one used them!

Its odd that HW is the only park to offer such. I know PKI still does the traditional walkback to the Beast each day. I bet its just a mix-up and nothing has been said about it. Let me send an email or two...

Alright, let me know please if you find anything out. I was thinking maybe the reason they weren't doing it was because they were planning on switching ownerships by later this year and maybe saw half-price tickets to ACE members as a hindrance, or something another company may not be willing to honor after the ownership switch or something along those lines.

I had a great visit today, but unfortunately neither Chik-Fil-A or Bojangles has coupons. Luckily, a nice women saw us looking at the pricing sign unenthusiastically and gave us a coupon for $20 off, making her the hero of the day.

Overall the day turned out excellent with the weather cooperating after morning rain showers. The park looked good, the operations were good, and I got to ride everything I wanted. Top Gun was running great, as was Borg. The forwards side of Thunder Road needs some TLC, but backwards was good. Hurler was much improved from last visit.

Goodbye, Carowinds. You were fun when my family could afford to go!

Anyway,

Tickets online are cheaper. Or you could take Coasterdad's coupons.

Or you can buy a ticket online, then use the coupon on it! ;)
