So I had heard for years that they had filmed one of the Brady Buch episodes at PKI, but never managed to see it.
My Tivo picked it up last night at 1:00 though! Sorry, I was going to post something earlier but kept forgetting.
At the time of the filming The Racer and Beastie were only 1year old (whatever Beastie was called then).
They had some great footage of the park in it's early days, PC's flyers (well they're ours now) were shown with a totally different color scheme. Red,white and blue. Not the normal blue and white flying eagles color scheme.
One thing I'm curious of, rcdb.com does not show another coaster in the park then but the "3".
However, in the footage you can see a small junior steel coaster somewhere in the general area of where Italian Job is now.
Does anyone know about this coaster, and what happened to it?
The show is really good from a historical standpoint. The footage of course is high quality for the period because it was Paramount filming it.
If you can catch it, I'd recommend checking it out.
How ironic that Paramount would become the owners of the park later in it's life.
