I got this in my inbox from Carowinds Zone:
"On April 19, 1986, Carowinds joined other theme parks across the country as a registration point for one of the most highly publicized national charity events of the decade. What was the name of that event?" Anyone know the answer to this question because I can't find anything on Charlotte.com?

While Charlotte didn't participate, I thought Carowinds might have still been a registration point.

Yeah. Sounds like Hands across America.

One of the dumbest things to ever happen in the 80's.

I'm so glad I didn't participate.

"Let's hold hands and bring World Peace!!!!" I didn't relize you had to pay $10 to waste 15 minutes of your life too!

Yeah, it so worked. And there were a bunch of gaps in the chain too. lol
