i think it was hurler, even when there was only one train i waited about 3-4 mins!

the longest line was definitley cyclone,i waited about an hour and a half!! but that was when they only had one train running, with two trains it was about 15 mins.

When I visited the park, Vortex would be a walk-on, and often times the trains would only be 3/4 full. On the other hand, some days it is a super-long ride. It's interesting how that line wait fluctuates so much from day to day or even hour to hour.

Usually when I've been to the park, the backwards side to Thunder Road was always shortest. Hurler can be deceptive for its line. A lot of times you don't know how long it is (or if they're using the queue lines in the station) until you actually start going through it. Ricochet can have short lines as well as the Goldrusher. Top Gun can people munch like crazy as long as they've got a good crew. Since they put the new entrance on the Gauntlet, er, Rocket Power Airtime, I've actually seen a line for it now! The Sternwheeler never had a line :)

It was five minutes on a saturday in July for Thunder Road Backwards. Now, forewards was another story...

Carowinds really doesn't have a line problem. The park seems to have great overall capacity.

The longest line I can ever recall was for Frenzoid just after it opened. It was all the way back to Harmony Hall.

These days, Super Saturator always has a line, but that is mainly because of the ride's Three, Four passenger vehicles. Vortex's line can get long, but it tends to have one of the slowest crews in the park. (from my expierience anyway)

Drop Zone seems to occasionally have a pretty long wait. If only we had one of those big cars like at Kings Island or Kings Dominion. That might actually clear the line out too fast! (But, they would probably have to re-design the tower before we could use one of those.)

Man, I think the Skytower has the lowest number of people waiting in line. Mike Crowder, from the high school football scoredesk, once rode the Skytower and clamied he could see all the way to the mountians!! How can you beata great ride like that? It's also the best looking at Christmas time! :P

You want long lines...you should have been at Scarowinds the night after Halloween. Top Gun's line went past the gift shop. Thunder Road, Ricochet, Reptar, and Cyclone's lines were full and stretched out into the midway. They actually had to shut the park off and not allow anymore admissions.

GOOD GOD! now i've seen cyclone's line long and that's understandable on a count of it's the starting looping coaster, but for top gun to go alll the way past the gift shop,(good thing carowinds isn't a six flags)

richochet's line is always long,it was out in the midway at noon on a weekday

drop zone does need one of those big cars,

Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion always seems to have one of the longest lines in the park.

From putting in quite a few hours this past season....I really cant say what line was the shortest. It also depends on the day. Hurler, my ride, saw quite a wait at many times this year--to my surprise. I voted for Cyclone, until August it was fairly short. Due to budget cuts, Cyclone had to have a train removed everyday but the weekends. So that is my input. Hope everyone has a great NEW YEAR 2004!

Thunder Road (Backwards) has the shortest lines. It's merely a walk-on unless the park is crowded then you'll wait for a maximum of five minutes.

Lately Top Gun has gotten shorter line times everytime I go, but Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion has the longest line.

top gun's line is long just(thankfully)you barely have to wait,i woulden't know how big thunder road backwards line is,it was closed for mechanical stuff, and this was the first year i rode thunder road(and it rocked!)

Thunder Road should get new cars. They should seat four and have two people faceing forwards and two backwards, like the Super Saturator, both sides should have them, this would make for even races and people would be able to ride forewards or backwards.

To make this work, they would need to clearly label the quene for each row in the station if it's forewards or Backwards, otherwise people are going to hold up the line because they have been waiting in one of the little quenes for a backwards row and it turns out, to their suprise to be a forewards row. They are gonna freak out and hold up the line.

I know this would cost alot of money, but if the cars look cool and are comfortable, I think more people will ride TR just for the new cars (which should be themed to be outlaw and sherrif like the origionals!).
