For those of you who get to visit throghout the week, what is the best day to go? How does the weekdays compare to the weekend crowds? In particular, is a Weds better than a Friday?
Thanks for any and all responses. We are assuming a mid week trip will be much less crowded throughout the water park, coasters, and kiddie rides. But I am not sure, I could see more local young kids and families going through the week too while it is hot and they are out of school.

Pretty much anyday during the middle of the week should be fine.

In my experience, Friday is the most crowded weekday. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday seem to be the best days.

Tuesday and Wednesday seem to be best. Thursdays are often the days that different groups visit (sometimes tuesdays too), but the crowds are still pretty dead. Monday's also arent bad. Fridays can get crowded. Saturday is worst. And i haven't been on a Sunday yet that i can remember actually. Monday thru Wednesday is probably best IMO.

I am only going to say this one time...I would recommend going to Six Flags Over Georgia, the park is alot nicer looking than Carowinds. However, the park's ride maintenance sucks and the rides staff is a bit rude and unsafe. I noticed the older rides smelled bad, and were making a lot of loud noises that they shouldn't have been...Yes, read it and be amazed. RollerNut has a thing against some people at Carowinds and refuses to go to enjoy Carowinds. Looks like someone's expectations were wrong. Anyways, if you really want to visit the ugly Parawinds I mean Carowinds, go on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. They are the deadest days. Sunday thru Friday the following rides don't open until 11AM.
Log Flume
Rapids
Whitewater Falls
Hurler
Thunder Road(Backwards)
Saturator
Rides not opening is a example of budget cutting from Paramount Parks hopefully Cedar Fair will cut out that.

Well, aside from the curious answer from Rollernut, that is basically what I was thinking. Appreciate the quick responses.

Oh, and as far as Six Flags over Carowinds.

Well, we have Carowinds passes. Even though we live in the Triad area, it is easily justified to get a pass and visit for the end of one year, the parade the next year, free parking, daytime halloween events, and that type of thing. We typically go on Sundays, and recently went on a Saturday. The crowd difference is noticeable between those two days. We have never been on a weekday though. We really wanted to go to the water park without hundreds of other people there, so it sounds like we may get our wish.

Besides, I've gave Six Drags several tries and each time I have found it strikes out in my books. 1. Trashy 2. Rude Park Goers (not Six flags fault) 3. Crazy High food Costs 4. Staff are not friendly 5. Dollywood, Busch Gardens, Carowinds, and even Stone Mountain are better in my book 6. Mr. six lol

LOL, sure SFoG does have some nice rides, cool licensed characters, and a descent admission, but I will wait til I have a reason to be in Atlanta before going back just for that park.

Sorry to get off topic here.

I did notice that Thurs. seem to have lots of special days for groups. I think we will try a Weds.

I usually go on thursdays....usually around 3:30. There are no crowds, borgs line is usually at the steps...multiple rerides, etc. I did drop zone 8 times in a row! We went last tuesday in the afternoon and it was way more crowded. Yes, they might have group things on thursdays, but usually they are leaving around the time we get there. And I recommend parking in the main lot, not platinum parking, since by 3:30 platinum is full and you can usually find a parking spot on the second or third row of the main lot. It is a lot closer than the back of the platinum.

The longest lines are usually for the log flume and the rapids.

I answered Saturday because that is the day that the park has the most staffing, and all rides open on time.

^While you may not like carowinds much at the moment (for obvious reasons...), we don't need to hear your bitching.
